Wow!!! I had a lot to catch up on :>) Jairia, so glad you're changing hospitals, no more bugs!!!!! Hopefully the rest of bedrest will be more pleasant :>) My Dr. is making me quit work on the 14th. She wanted me out last Monday, but I got 2 more weeks out of her :>) The presenting baby is head down, but she is the smaller of the two. She weighed about 2 lbs 10 ounces at 28 weeks. The bigger baby 3 lbs 1 oz is breech of course, so we have a c-section scheduled for Cinco de Mayo if the breech baby doesn't cooperate. They want the bigger baby to come first to make way for the second. I guess there is still time for both of them to turn around. I'm technically not due until the 18th of May. We'll see :>) Chatty, isn't the 3 and 4 D amazing!!!!!! We couldn't do it this time with twins, but every time we have an ultrasound, they'll flip it into 4-D when they are focused on their faces!! So cute!!! I hope everyone is doing well!!! We're almost there ladies :>)

Red, the weather here is crazy. My husband was just in shorts this past weekend, and now they're bundled in heavy coats. All I could do was watch the huge snow flurries from my hospital window. The boys made snowmen and had a snowball fight yesterday after they finally made it home. I'm so excited. In the next few days (hopefully a week at the latest) I'll be moving to Baylor in downtown FW. I can't wait to get outta here!!! Speaking of baby belly, I guess mine doesn't show as much because I'm carrying longer and not outward if that makes sense. My nurse this morning told me she could tell the change between this week and 3 weeks ago. I guess I don't notice it as much because I'm always in a nightgown or pajama pants and happen to be laying down all the time. I called my sister in CA who is 3 weeks behind me to tell her I was concerned that I wasn't showing that much at 30 weeks now, and she said it's probably that I just don't recognize it whereas everyone else does. I know this is off topic, but has anyone had a mucous discharge? Sorry, I know a little TMI. Yesterday in the shower, I had a huge amount that freaked me out. I have a little sometimes when I go to the loo, but the amount that came out in the shower sent me into panic mode. My nurse at the time didn't seem too concerned, but that doesn't make me feel better especially given my history with this hospital.

Hi Ladies...It's been a minute, but I wanted to drop in to say hello and to see how everyone was doing. I had to take the 3 hour sugar test on Tuesday and boy was it rough! It wasn't that bad the first time around, but this time it made me sick to my stomach and I even got the shakes afterward b/c I was so hungry. Anyway needless to say, I pa__sed the darn thing thank God!!! I just got back from my dr's appt today and got to see my little one again, he weighs 2lbs and 15 oz. My due date is still May 18, but for some reason I feel like he's going to come sooner. My Dr was not too happy about my weight, the last time I was there on the 22nd, I gained 1.5 lbs and then today I lost 2lbs since the 22nd. She told me that I should be gaining and not losing and was even concerned about my eating. Now mind you, I'm not a skinny minny to begin with. I've gained 22 lbs altogether and was right at 200lbs when I found out I was pregnant. I gained a lot of weight in my first trimester, so maybe I'm slowing down until that 9th month. Is everyone finished with their nursery yet? I did a lot of work on Saturday and cleaned and got rid of a lot of stuff that we didn't need. We have the crib and changing table put up. The only thing that I need to pick up is the dresser and hang the wall art and we will be done. Take care ladies and have a great weekend!

Hey guys, ust back from my appointment and everything is fine! Baby girl (reconfirmed the s_x too!) is right in the 50th percentile, except for the legs that are measuring 2-3 weeks ahead (like she has been since the beginning). I guess she's taking from her daddy (6 foot 3). The rest is right on target, practising breathing movements and all. She is in a diagonal position, her head down near my hip and feet up on the opposite side. She was sleeping with her arms in front of her face so couldn't see much of it, but I didn't really care at that point! I am so relieved. Hopefully I can get a real good night of sleep tonight! vw_red: I don't mind if you write a book!!! That's what this forum is here for! I understand your frustration though The other day at work, some lady made a comment that I had gained weight and not only in my tummy... I wanted to punch her, especially that she is always on a diet!!! Disaya: good to hear from you! I am a little puzzled at your Dr's comments about your weight. I always thought it's the whole picture that counts rather than your weight at each and every appointment. I thought gaining between 25 and 35 pounds is normal for the whole pregnancy. I think I'm going to be on the higher range (gained 28 pounds already at 31 weeks), but I started under normal weight for my height... Jaira: keep us posted as to when you are moving!!! About the mucus: I have not had any, although the daily discharge seems to be heavier since I've started the last trimester.

Hi all! Cg thanx! lol. That is great about the u/s!!! Your gonna have yourself a tall baby! lol so much for the outfits with the feet... I am in the same boat with you on that except it looks like I may end up skipping the whole newborn clothes section. d__n and I got some cute stuff.... Jairia which Balor are you moving to? They have a ton here so I was curious... QUESTION... when are you ladies planning on taking Maternity leave? Like what week are you thinking? And have any of you pre registered and did the whole tour thing yet? How about pediatricians? My doc wants me to be registered and have pediatrician ready to go before my next appointment in 2 weeks. Its crazy how fast this is going.... Wow....

Red, I'll be at Baylor Medical All Saints in Fort Worth. Hopefully the move will take place next week. As far as maternity leave, uh.....I'm already out of work and have been since January 18th. This wasn't my plan however because disability insurance stinks. Unfortunately, I may not be able to go back to work when she's born until the next school year. I'm a teacher, and the school term will be up when my 6 week leave is up. So I'll be at home June, July, and part of August until I have to go back for the next school year. I haven't found a pediatrician yet. It's kind of hard to do while being in the hospital. I'll probably start looking online sometime within the next two weeks.

RED, congrats! It really does bring you closer to your baby, I think. Its one thing to see a little skeleton moving around in there, but to actually see a little face is just amazing. I'm so glad it went well! I definitely am carrying out. Completely out. I have a short torso, so there really isn't anywhere for baby to go except out! I love the belly but it really does make me feel self conscious, especially since I'm so obviously pregnant now that even on those days I'm not feeling that mommy-to-be glow I still have to deal with the stares and the baby comments. But I know I'll miss it once its gone... its just right now I wish I could get a good nights sleep and feel attractive in clothes that fit! CGGIRL, Glad to hear your little one is doing well. You better get prepared for a little sports player or model! lol It sounds like apart from the little scare, everything is going perfectly. congrats! That must be such a relief. JAIRIA, I wouldn't worry about the mucus. I had a friend that thought she was going into premature labor but it turns out that sometimes your body can go into mucus production overload and it has to come out somehow! And even if it was your mucus plug, sometimes that happens, but it regenerates. Happens all the time, even to women who have cooperative cervixes!

An update from me.... today was the glucose drink. It really wasn't that bad at all, but by the end of it, I was definitely getting sick of drinking it. I never had a bad reaction to it, though. Baby went absolutely CRAZY. First he got the hiccups and then the kicking. And man, do NOT underestimate those tiny feet. He was kicking HARD. I swear, a little foot poked out a good couple of inches and it was right by my ribs, too. Now my ribs are sore all the way around. There was a little mishap with the blood draw, too. As she was switching tubes, the tube got stuck and knocked the needle. It came out, scratched me and then went back in. That really hurt, too. lol We switched arms and then to top it all off, I got my rhogam shot! i'm officially a rather LARGE pin-cushion. Lets just hope I don't have to do that test again!

chattykathy - ouch! sounds like a rough day! i have an appointment wed. and i'm desperately hoping they give me (finally) a csection date. i have had to wait forever this time because they kept hoping my placenta would move. i know what you mean about the sore ribs too. no amount of stretching will make them feel better. it seems the only way i get any relief from that is taking a hot bath or shower, then they tend not to hurt so much.

Hey Kathy: what an ordeal with the needles. Ouch!! RMC: any chance at all that the placenta has moved indeed? At least you will know for sure tomorrow. I don't know for you ladies but I am soooooooo tired! When I get back from work, I sleep and then I have no problems getting into bed at night and trying to sleep. Unfortunately I wake up all the time now because of the discomforts... I guess full nights of sleep are over for many years now!

Cg-I know what you mean. I am so tired all of the time too and with DLST starting, losing that extra hour in the morning makes it worse. I was just telling BF this morning that I didn't know how much longer I was going to make it for work. By the afternoons when I get home from work, I only want to collapse on my couch and watch my recorded shows of Bringing Home Baby & Tyra Banks and then drag myself up to shower. Not too much longer to go though, we have made it this far so I'm willing to take it to the end.
As far as the weight gain, I always thought it was the overall picture too, but the doc said that I should at least be gaining a pound a week putting me at 3-4 lbs for the month. I was speaking to my SIL this weekend and telling her about the baby's weight gain and she mentioned that she thought he was measuring small at 2lbs and 15 oz. That kind of bothered me, but I easily brushed it off. Everybody has their own opinions about everything but the right thing.

On another note, I hit submit too soon. Since we're reaching the homeward stretch, do you guys think it would be good to pair up with a belly buddy? Someone that will notify the rest of the ladies on the board if their buddy goes into labor or has issues. We could communicate via email or via phone and update the rest of the ladies with each other progress. Just a thought, let me know.
