Disaya - sorry to hear about the bf, but I'm glad he's still being supportive about the pregnancy. chattykathy - it takes me HOURS to fall asleep every night because I am so uncomfortable. My ribs on my right side hurt constantly and the only thing that seems to help is when I take a hot shower or bath. Other than that, he's jammed up inside of them pretty good, all the time. reneenat - wow, only 4 days before your due date? I would think they'd be scared you might go into labor earlier than that. I had to have an emergency csection the first time I had one. I went to a regular doctor's appt and they sent me straight across the street to the hospital. It was pretty scary, needless to say, so hopefully they'll find a way to fit you in earlier. I'm gearing up for my baby shower on Saturday, yay!

DISAYA, I'm really sorry to hear that but its good to hear that he wants to be involved. I have a friend who went through the exact same situation, and you know what? She got the best part of him. Her daughter is absolutely beautiful, and even though things didn't work out between them, it turned out okay. She is happy and after taking a while to come to terms with it all, she is content with the situation and really couldn't imagine it any other way. You will be fine. You are going to be an amazing mother! Congrats on the baby shower and I hope this weekend's goes well!

Hi RMC, that is EXACTLY what I'm afraid of. I have an appointment on the 28th and I plan to ask if I can just go in sooner with another Dr or something. The last thing I need is an emergency c-section! I've been thinking about it more and more. What do you ladies think: should I call and start hara__sing them about it now, or should I wait for that app. on the 28th...by then I'll be 37 weeks. Thanks! Disaya, I know it's not the best situation for you, but it sounds like you are handling it very well. I am sure you two can handle raising a child together, even if it didn't work out between the two of you. Good luck with everything and enjoy your shower!

reneenay - have you voiced your concerns about going into labor early and having to have an emergency csection? I would start now, definitely. Maybe if you hara__s them enough, the y will bump you up!!!

i hoped by now that i would be able to come to the forum and tell you guys that i was holding my baby, but he has shown no more signs of coming since the bloody show and contractions! i am so impatient. my due date is may 6th, but the doctors got my hopes up high, and i was thinking he'd come this week. i have been nesting like crazy, yesterday i scrubbed every surface in my apartment...today of course, my body aches. oh well, at least things are clean!
it's good to read that everyone is okay, even with the ups and downs of life and pregnancy. make sure to take care of yourself and rest as much as possible!

Kate - sounds like your baby is coming soon. Disaya, sorry to hear about your friend. Chatty Kathy - I had the same thing with my ribs. I think my baby has dropped a tiny bit because I do not feel near the discomfort in the ribs. It was so painful. What helped me was to do deep squats - particularly malasana or garland pose if you are familiar with yoga. You should make sure your baby is in the proper position before attempting.. So last night I thought for sure I was in labor. I have started my 36th week so I thought it was a bit early. I was having BH contractions all day. In the evening they started giving me a low back ache. It felt like my pelvis was under extreme pressure. I timed the contractions and they were lasting longer than 30 seconds and coming about every 5 to 6 min. Then they started to be less frequent about every 10 min. My back really hurt. I never had this with the BH contractions in the past. It was 2 am and I thought I would wait till morning to contact the doctor. I woke at 4 am and the pain was gone. Today I did not have nearly the amount of BH. I wonder if she was dropping further?
hope you all are doing great!
Lauren

Hello all ... I just dropped by to see how everyone is doing and It seems that we are all on the same boat with a few differences here and there. Me, well, I have an appointment on Monday to see if my baby changed positions and is now moving in the right direction, lol. I have been having a lot of back pain, more than with my DD, and my doc says its because of the baby's position. I have been feeling very weak everyday for the past few weeks which I plan on telling my ob on Monday. I can't really explain how I feel, not even laying down I feel better, its like all of the sudden I loose all my strength and feel like if I was going to faint or something. Its kind of scary. I had my last lab test done and they were all normal as far as I understand, so what I have come to think is that maybe the position my baby is in is affecting me somehow, I don't know, its just I don't know what to think. This never happened with my DD. I guess I will ask Monday. TGIF!! Sorry, but I just needed to vent and you guys are the only ones that can understand me .. have a great day!

Disaya: sorry to hear the news. You seem to be doing OK, and I admire that! RMC and Kathy: I'm having the worst sleep ever, when I get any! I have this terrible acid reflux, and then last night it was followed by heartburn so bad I couldn't sleep! When I was drifting away, I was even dreaming about it. In a way, it's a good thing I'm measuring small because it's really not easy to go and do the things I'm supposed to do every day with no sleep (like working for example!). Went to my u/s today and baby girl seems to be maintaining the 15th percentile, so hopefully my OB (that I see on Tuesday) will decide to let nature take its course. Baby girl's estimated weight is 5 pounds 10 ounces, and if she can hang in there for another week, she will hopefully be over 6 pounds and that's all what I'm asking for. Although I heard so many stories (including in my family) of how the estimation of weight was off that I don't want to put too much energy in worrying about that (although hard to do, I must admit). Hitting 37 weeks today... wow. The good thing about the u/s is that they confirmed that baby girl is in the right position for birth and I am so relieved about that. I thought she had switched again. Her head was so low that I had to pull down my pants down to my pubic hairline so the technician could get a shot at her head. Anyhow, enough about that. Sarahnicole: what position are you talking about? Reneenay: first, I still have hope that your baby will turn, but if not, I do hope they schedule the Csection earlier. Otherwise you run the risk of having to go through both labor and c-section... it doesn't make sense.

Sarahnicole I have the same problem with the feeling weak and like I am going to faint!! I asked my doc yeaterday about it and she said even though my GD test came back normal it is just from where I am so pregnant that my body is acting funny to sugar. Say I eat a snack and then a few hershey kisses well I just sent my sugar level up big time and then after a bit it will crash causeing me to feel weak and about to faint. It actually made sense. She said to counter it with skim milk or something with lots of protein in it. So its worth a try for me at least. I am tired of feeling like I am goin gto pa__s out. Disaya thats stinks about the BF but maybe once the baby is here and the hormones subside you guys my just end up back together. If not thats great he wants to be part of your l/o. And like Chatty said you are getting the best part of him regardless. Hang in there. Have a great baby shower! RMC yeah trying to get to sleep sucks for me to. I feel like I am doing a 5 point roll just to get from one side to the other, thats not counting the time it gets to get in a comfy spot just to fall asleep only to be woke up maybe 30 mins later because DH figures he needs to wake me up cause I am snoring. I snore right now woopty doo. He does not seem to realize how hard it is for me to sleep let alone stay asleep. The bathroom breaks are hell and just trying to roll my a__s out of bed is a feat in its self!!! I am so getting the TOP's. Lauren I got tons of bH's when she started to drop. I was up half the night cause the b___ds hurt but when I finally did get to sleep and woke up I noticed she was alot lower! Asked the doc about that too, she said it is normal and a good things!!! I was like woooo hooo. This show is rolling now! Renee, I would be calling them at least twice a week!!!! Harras the hell out of them. Like CG siad there is no reason for you to go through labor and a emergancy c if you dont have to!!! Cg thats a good size baby even for being in the 15th percentile. I hope she does stay in there as long as she can! My co worker had a lil girl weighed 5 lb 7 oz at 39 wks and is fine. So keep your head high!!! You would think as long as most of these OB's have been doing this they pretty much have the whole guessing weight game down to an art, so your doc probably knows what he or she is talking about! AT least we hope so right!. Oka y well I think I am done writing the Saturday paper. Hope everyone has a great weekend, rest and have fun :) RMC and Disaya enjoy your showers ladies! Hope you get lots and lots of goodies!!!!

KATIE, sorry to hear that baby hasn't made his arrival just yet. Probably just when you think he's never going to come, thats when he'll decide to make his appearance! Stay positive and hang in there! --- I definitely think that baby is starting to descend. He's been head down for a while, and I've definitely had to make the late-night trips to the bathroom, but last night I felt so much pressure on the back of my hips. Of course I could be driving myself crazy looking for signs, too! I'm just hoping for some good news at my appointment on thursday. I am a-okay with him coming a couple of weeks early!

RMC, well, thats one thing you need to do! Stop watching those shows! They're always going to be packed with drama and don't necessarily show the whole story. Good luck with your appointment. Try to relax and hopefully everything will go smoothly. Stressing yourself out certainly doesn't help anything! But please update us as soon as you can! --- Either baby had another growth spurt recently or the outfit I'm wearing really flatters the belly. I've had three people tell me I look bigger today. hmm! I'm hoping that its just the shirt because as of last appointment I was measuring a week and a half ahead. I couldn't imagine measuring 38 weeks or more when I'm only 35w! But we'll see on thursday after my appointment... that feels like such a long time to wait!

RMC: sorry to hear about your shower... I mean it's just that it takes so much organization! I'm glad you had a good time with the people that were there! And I agree with Kathy: try to be strong and positive. The good thing is, if something happens at the amnio, you are at the right place. wv_red: I totally hear you about the sleeping problems. Although my lo hasn't dropped yet, it's harder every night. I can't imagine how I'll be able to take care of a baby and get up many times a night!

Hi May Mommies! How are you all doing? RMC, I know the amnio seems really scary, but I don't think it will be so bad. Just close your eyes and go to a happy place and it will be over before you know it. That sucks about the shower. I got a few last minute flake-outs for mine too. Well, I had quite a surprise on Friday. I thought I was meeting my DH for lunch. I walked into the restaurant and it was a surprise shower for me from his whole office! It was so nice! I have never had a surprise party thrown for me! It was really cool. So my stubborn little boy still hasn't budged, and if you knew my DH's family, you wouldn't be too surprised :) They are as stubborn as they come. I am going to talk to my Dr at my appointment on Monday about what would happen if I went into labor before my scheduled c-section. I am guessing it would be considered an emergency, but to what degree, I'm not sure. RMC, why exactly did they have to rush you over after your exam with your breech baby? Just curious. Was it just because they thought you were going into labor soon, or was it something else? I am very anxious to get some questions answered on Monday. I am also considering the external version. We'll see what the Dr. says about that too. I have heard she is espcecially successful with it, but I think it has more to do with whether or not I am a good candidate for it. I know it will be painful, but what part of this won't be, really?!?ChattyKathy, your baby is probably average size...the uterus size really isn't that accurate. I had a friend who always measured a week ahead and her son was only 6.5 lbs when he was born. I am sure it will be fine! Big belly rubs!

Hi ladies, how is everyone feeling??? I hope everyone is feeling good! RMC that really sucks about the shower. I hope the amnio went well today and you are good to go for tomorrow. Wow can you believe you are going to have your lil one tomorrow? wow. Renee that is awesome that his office surprised you like that! Thats great he kept it from you too!! CG, you know I am almost thinking it will be easier once the l/o's get here. lol but who knows! I just cant wait to be able to sleep on my tummy again and see my feet and not be afraid of falling off the toilet trying to wipe my b___t cause my belly is so dang big!!! You know i was hoping not to get many strech marks... yeah that went out the window a few months ago, now every time she turns i get a new one!! Bad enough i feel like a blimp, I look like it too!!!! 31 days, or sooner hopefully!! Hey Sims where you been chicky???? You never speak to us anymore!!!! Well ladies have a good tuesday...

You guys, the amnio was horrible! Lol ... so I get there and everything is running on time, which is great. They stick me with the needle, which barely hurt, but then they start sucking out the fluid and I almost DIED!!! Then, they only got 3 ccs of fluid and they needed 10! So they had to stick me again! 5 hours later and my stomach still hurts! But it was worth it - hospital just called and tomorrow is BABY DAY!! And they moved my csection from 3 to 1, woohoo! reneenay - I had to rush over because he was down so low when they did the internal exam, they could feel a foot hanging real low and they didn't want him to get stuck in the birth ca___l. That's awesome about the surprise shower! wv_red - sims had posted another post where she was getting some flack about craving ajax and comet. I posted on there to let her know she wasn't the only one with weird cravings, but people were being pretty mean. cg and kathy - thanks for the positivity.

RMC, congratulations! You'll have a baby in your arms by tomorrow! Thats great news! But i'm sorry to hear the amnio didn't go so well. At least its over with and you can move forward with motherhood! =) RENEE, congrats on the shower. That seems like an awesome surprise and was very nice of everyone to put together for you. --- I added one more pillow to the mix last night and FINALLY got to sleep almost through the night... minus a couple of times where I rolled over and once I had to get up to use the bathroom. But it felt AMAZING, I just didn't want to get out of bed. ahhh... I just might survive the next few weeks!
