Depending on how you figure it today is the irst day of the third trimester for me!! I figured my months as 4 weeks 3 days(since that's how most months are) and today would put me at 6 months!!!! I'm excited to be in the home stret, it feels like just yesterday I was finding out I was less than 5 weeks pregnant! A lot has changed since then though and for the most part I'm glad it has! Welcome May Mommies to our last trimester!

i will be 27 weeks on tuesday as well. i am definitely having a burst of energy the past few weeks. before that, i was so tired. now i am just cleaning and organizing, trying to get ready for the baby. if you ladies are planning on having a baby shower, when will you hold it? i was thinking late march, does that seem like proper timing? due may 6th.

Congratulations on making it over here girls! I am a March mom-to-be myself. Some say the last stretch goes even more quickly than the 2nd trimester but so far, it seems like I've been in the 3rd trimester forever. Good luck to all of you and happy healthy pregnancies!

Hello ladies, a bunch of us May mommies from the second tri boards were wondering if we could hop on over and join you? I was 6 months as of last Thursday, and some of us are confused on when the third tri starts, but we are ready to roll on over! I am 28 and have 4 boys, 10, 9, 7 and one that will be one on Friday. And of course, I'm having a boy to round out the basketball team (: I'm technically due May21, but my c section will be around May 7 or 8, we haven't finalized it yet.

Hi ladies. I won't actually be in my 3rd tri for another 1 1/2 weeks, but I'm ready for the move. I'm 28, l/o is due May 16, and I'm on bedrest for the remainder of the pregnancy (going on week 3 now 15 more to go). DH and I are currently raising my nephew and fostering our 16-month-old who we're ih the process of waiting to adopt. This pregnancy was a total surprise but a welcomed one. I'm having a GIRL. I think that's it.... =)

Hi, ladies. I didn't realize someone had already moved us over here. I wont be hitting the third tri for another three weeks, since I'm due at the end of May. Should we all move over now?

nvm, I guess we're moving on over! JAIRIA, I'm sure you mentioned it before, but I didn't realize that you were a foster parent and preggo. Very cool! Looks like your little girl will have someone to play dressup with! How are you feeling?--- So, I think I have belly denial. It just doesn't seem to be clicking that there is a reason that I'm not fitting in my clothes anymore. And when I see my reflection out in public I always have to do a double take. I keep telling myself I'm not that big but then its like OMG! And then it hits me, we're almost there. Just a few more months. I can't believe it!

chattykathy - haha, I just had to order a couple of pairs of maternity jeans from gap after an unfortunate 8 hour day at work when I tried to squeeze into regular jeans, and they had them suffocating me and digging into my stomach all day! Lol .. I'm not technically in my third tri til the end of the month either, I think, if we go by it beginning the 7th month, but what the heck! Lets move on over. Jaira - how are you feeling? And you other ladies, how are you guys?

I actually feel pretty good. I'm glad you guys are feeling the lower movements too. I've really been feeling them low, low, low this week. It really scared me as I thought I was going into pre-term labor and that the cerclage wasn't helping. Kathy, I know the feeling of seeing your reflection in public and thinking "that's not me...I can't be that big." Luckily, I'm not having to buy additional maternity clothes due to being on bedrest. Right now, I generally tend to wear my husband's shirts and athletic shorts. I've got a few shirts and a preggo pants that I purchased prior to being placed on bedrest. So doctor's appointment days are a big deal. Those are the days I actually get to put on make-up and wear real clothes. HA!

Hi -- I posted a thread about what my doctor told me yesterday in my visit -- it looks like I have a low lying placenta and my baby is breech. The only thing that worries me right now is the placenta thing -- is that why you are in bedrest for Jairia? He said no s_x until further notice because I could start bleeding, DH is soo happy about that lol -- but he understands completely .. do you guys think this is something I should worry about or the are the chances of my placenta moving out of the say good? I'm 23w6d today .. besides that, the baby is doing great -- she's weighing approx. 1lbs 11oz. My doctor said she's going to be a very big baby!!! I'm not that small either I'm 5'9 and my husband is 5'10 so that was expected ... please let me know your thoughts -- thanks!

Sarahnicolesmom, I'm on bedrest due to incompetent cervix. I went in for a routine sonogram 3 weeks ago, and the sonographer found that my cervix was funneled or shortened in length from 4cm to 1.5cm. After being admitted to the hospital for 4 days, my doctor decided that a cerclage (surgical st_tch to close up the uterus) would be best. I'm still on bedrest and will begin additional steroid shots in a week because the doctor is still concerned that I could go into pre-term labor. I'm hoping to make it to 36 weeks. If I make it full-term, I'll be on bedrest for 14 1/2 more weeks. Good luck to you.

Jairia--hope everything keeps on going well and that you make it to that 36 week mark -- I know you will! As for me, I'll just have to wait -- hopefully the placenta will move and the baby will position herself in the right position -- best of luck to you too!
