Membrane Sweep With Posteria Cervix

im 38+5 weeks and when examined a few days ago i was told i had a posteria cervix, im due to have a membrane sweep on tuesday and wondered if this will be possible as im posteria or does your cervix move any advise welcome

I also have a posteria cervix. I'm only 30 weeks so I'm not sure about the membrane sweep. But I had issues at 28 weeks and I'm dialated to a 2. I imagine it shouldn't be a problem to do a membrane sweep if they can check for dialation, you know. The baby was also at station 1 though so I don't know if that brought mine more within reach or not. But it was pretty uncomfortable when they checked so, not to scare you, but it may be uncomfortable with them reaching so far back to do the sweep. I hope it gets things started for you!! Good Luck!

I delivered a baby with a posteria cervix! Just a bit of a warning and TOTALLY not trying to freak you out but I had terrible back labor from it and like britt said it is very painful when they check you (They have to actually pull it down a bit- at least they did with me) GOOD LUCK
