I am 27 weeks and out of no where have a belly...it wasn't there a week ago so don't worry. I was sort of happy that i was small when i see some women suffering so early on but also worried so the sudden belly although uncomfortable was happily welcomed but I guess I need to start buying some bigger clothes.

Yeah, everyone is different.... Some people just have more room for a baby to spread out and they don't really grow out all that much! I'm small for six months as well, but my baby is normal size. Everyone is always shocked to hear that I am 6 months. Consider yourself lucky!

I am 5 months & look like I'm 6 or 7. Dr. says baby has reached the top of my belly b___ton but I feel huge. Can't imagine what I'm going to look like at 9 months

Hi ladies, i just wanted to say that none of you should worry, i have 3 sisters and between them they have 8 children and with each pregnancy they were completely different sizes, one of my sisters looked like she was having triplets and ended up having one little boy who weighed 5 lb and another one of my sisters barely looked pregnant and ended up with a 7lb baby, i myself didn't show until i was about 5 months and even now i am measuring 4 cm small my midwife saids i'm just going to have a small baby so i suppose the baby will be like me then, anyway i hope you all have wonderful pregnancies and healthy babies

I'm 16 weeks/4 months pregnant and very curious as to what measurements around the belly/waistline are considered big and what would be considered small. Has anyone measured around their waistline at 16 weeks (right underneath the belly b___ton all around)? I have been told by a few different people that I look somewhat big for 16 weeks and that I look average. Help.....I can not find anything on the interest with measurement ranges for pregnant bellies.

hi Kayme. I am going to have to say that i am the exact opposite. I am 30 weeks but look like I am going to burst. Even though i have gained the right amount of weight throughout my pregnancy, I carry my son straight out in front of me. At first i loved it because I was showing very early on, but honestly, I am have been so miserable since month 6. I am always getting comments on how big my belly is. People can't believe i have about 2 more to go. It can be a bit annoying. I guess I am hoping that i do not get too much bigger because my job requires me to stand most of the day, and i am not sure that i can do it much longer. Good luck to you and your baby.

No, no, you're fine! I didn't start to show until after I was put in the hospital at 24 weeks. Don't worry, you're ok! You'll catch up too, trust me! I am 36 weeks pregnant...my waist has gone from 28 inches to 38 now! All in 12 weeks. Your baby is most likely fine, but if you're worried, ask your ob to do a sonogram & measure the baby for IUGR.

I have gone through the same thing. My whole pregnancy people say i'm small for how far along I am. I am on my last month and everything is popping out now! I think i might actually be starting to look as pregnant as I am and feel.

I'm 30 weeks pregnant with my 1st child and most people said my stomach looks small. But doc said my baby is growing normal with ideal weight & size so I'm not worried at all. =)

Shannon - October 16

hey, i'm 39 weeks now and i didn't start to get a real pregnant looking belly until like my 7th month, i just looked "thicker", aka fatter before then. now my belly's a good size, that's for sure, and complete strangers ask when i'm due.
