Hi, just wondering if it's normal/okay to have nausea come back again? I'm 36.5 weeks and for the past couple of days have been feeling nausea similar to the nausea I felt at the start of the pregnancy, although not quite so bad as yet. I also keep doing these gross mini vomits (you know, where it just comes up but not out if you know what I mean..). I'm seeing my ob tomorrow but just wanted some feedback in the meantime :-)

Yeah, I started getting that around the same time in my pregnancy. For me, it was just because the baby was wanting more room, and was pushing against my stomach. So I'd often wake up to one of those "mini vomits". I've found that eating smaller amounts at meals (and therefore eating more times a day) really helped. Also, staying away from really spicy meals (they hadn't bothered me at all until 36 weeks!), and not eating anything for 2 hours before going to bed. (That one helped a LOT.) I also sleep with 2 or 3 pillows under my head to keep my chest more elevated...I find it helps keep food where it belongs (in my tummy, as opposed to coming back up!). As far as I've heard, the nausea is normal, but it's probably a good idea to bring it up at your appointment. It's better for your doctor to be over-informed (is that even possible?) than to not tell him stuff...especially if your doctor is anything like mine! (He doesn't tell me stuff if he knows it'll worry me more than it's worth.) Good luck!

Thanks for that. I'll let him know tomorrow. It's weird because I feel as if the baby has dropped a bit because I can breathe a bit better but am feeling a lot of pressure down low and on my lower back, so I would have thought that gross vomity stuff should get better, not worse. But then I guess the baby is bigger so it's just taking up my whole entire torso!! Thanks again :-)

I've had the same thing in the past week or so, and I'm 31 weeks now. I was sick up until 20 wks with this pregnancy, I was really hoping I wouldn't have to deal wi th it again. At least I know it can't be that much longer!

Lala it is definitely normal and very common for you nausea to come back. I know that with my lo I just can't kick the heartburn and indigestion so I take pepcid ac which was recommend by the doctor. It helps for the mini vomiting and all that other good stuff that comes along with the baby sitting on my organs, ugh. I thought the same thing about the baby dropping and it getting better but since he is still growing it doesn't matter and doesn't really get to much easier, just the breathing room has helped a little.
