Hi ladies! Wow we are all getting so close!!! Mari- you have your appt today right? Anyone else have an appt soon? Well ladies...I thought last night was the start of something and I realize- I am SOOO not ready!!! I woke up at 1:30am with pretty nasty "contractions" there was dull backpain, strong tightening of the tummy, and it was coming and going about every 4 min. This is EXACTLY what happened with my first labor...at 1:30am as well even! So I got up and went to the bathroom (as I did the first labor) sorry- TMI but I thought maybe I just was a little constipated or something....I crawled back into bed a little uncomfortable but feeling better and it dawned on me -Half a bag of carrots, 2 apples, canteloup and 2 bananas in one day- is bound to cause a little tummy trama for anyone! ha! So there you have it....no labor for me! I was like "Oh this is going to suck, because I am only 35w4d so they would not allow me to go into labor, or they would send me up to the cities so I was happy it was just a little tummy trama...next week though- you can bring on labor! ha

Oh Liz, you have me in tears! Yeah... I would think all that fruit would give you some tummy discomfort! I had my almost 37wk appt this morning! No news - still not dilated any, but he is head down. MrsSandy - 13days and counting - whoo hoo... we're right behind you! Jen - remind me again why you're getting induced? I know, 3 weeks is going to seem like such a long time, especially since you have everything ready and nothing to do but wait. Now we're all at the point of "hurry up and wait". We're getting more anxious awaiting the arrival of our new little people. It's driving me crazy and I wish I could fast-forward! I know I've mentioned this before, but I have to say it again - for the ladies with constipation issues... I've been eating Activia yogurt w/ 1/2 cup of FiberOne cereal (the one that looks like rabbit food) every morning, for the past 10 days and I couldn't be happier! I'm actually regular again! Who would have thought pooping would make a gal so happy! And I've noticed I'm even sleeping better the last few days... not sure if it's the pooping or the benedryl I need to thank for that : )

Saird - September 17

Oh Liz that must have had you scared for a bit! Mrs Sandy that's great about your friend, too bad she had to be stressed about it the whole time though. She must be so happy now. Destiny I'm pretty sure I remember you posting in the beginning! Good to see you here! I was at the midwife yesterday, I've now gained like 34 lbs or something. Jeez. My baby is head down, quite far down apparently and laying on the left side. THe midwives would like it to be more in front so it doesn't go posterior in labour, but you can only do so much right. I guess I'll spend some more time on all fours. I'm having tons of shooting pains up inside though, which apparently is good, meaning baby is pushing on the cervix. I've never been checked so I don't know if I'm dilated or not. I sure hope to go early, my belly is so itchy I can't stand myself. I feel like all my thoughts are preoccupied with the birth! I can't think of anything else!!

JNFR614 - September 17

Oh, sorry for being rude- welcome to all the new Oct. mommies who have joined us, glad you're here!!!! Aryanna- my belly has been itching alot too! Maybe that's a sign, lol (wishful thinking)

Saird - September 17

A sigh of what?!! That we need some cocoa b___ter? LOL! IF it was a sign of labour I must be 10 and ready to push!!

CatsMommy - September 17

LOL... I'm with you Aryanna! If my itchy belly is a sign, I should have given birth months ago : ) There is not enough Vit E oil or cocoa b___ter to sooth my itchy belly - it's driving me cookoo! Jen - I don't blame you for wanting to be induced early, considering what you went through with your son. Aryanna - i'm right there with you on the weight gain - I'm up 34.4lbs as of today. ha, my goal was to stay under 25 - that went down the drain at 30 weeks. Oh well... Liz has inspired me to take kickboxing. I start my cardio kickboxing cla__ses Dec 1st - whoo, hoo.

MissP - September 18

Hi girls! Glad your all hanging in there, we really hav done well havnt we. Nearly there now. Well i had my scan yesterday and went to see the consultant this morning - the midwife did a sweep and they are hoping that i go into labour on my own over the weekend, but - as thats unlikely seeing im only 37wks 4days, im booked in for an induction on Monday morning. Il be 38wks by then and they think with the look of my placenta and the low fluid, hes better out now as hes fully grown. They are predicting he will be between 7-8lb, even at 2 weeks early! Im quite excited to get on with it now theyve told me for sure whats happening. Also, if the pessary and hormone drips dont work on me then il be having a c-sec at some point, prob by weds if nothings happened. So hes going to be a sept baby after all of that! nevermind, i dont care when he is born as long as hes ok and healthy. I keep worrying that there will be something wrong, as they keep saying there could be - but i dont feel too scared about that. I have a good feeling. I just hope my feelings are right. Im sure il get to post again before monday, so in the meantime i hope yous all have a comfortable few days - by the way, beetroot is excellent for constipation - as i discovered myself, ive been craving it and then having terrible stomach issues after. Just a thought! Ej - i cant believe you are kickboxing, i can barely get up the stairs or out of bed, i cant wait to have my body and energy back. Im sooo looking forward to wearing normal clothes again. It seems like an eternity!! Well il catch up with you over the weekend, take care all x x x

Good morning ladies...you are to funny!!! MissP that is AWESOME! I can't believe you made it this far..how great!! PLEASE don't forget to update us...we will be anxiously awaiting your update!!! Honestly ladies...for me kickboxing is so much easier than walking. Like Patience you walking 2-3 miles a day...that would kill me. Whenever we go for a long walk I sleep terrible- my lower back just kills...I haven't a clue why I feel better (literally better) after I am done kickboxing but don't get to excited for me - I only go 1 -2 times a week! :) My booty is still the size of Texas!!! Sorry about the sleep ladies...I know that you all have tried EVERYTHING but as I said before a bath works wonders for me...my chiropractor gave me an idea that actually does work great...try to lay on your stomach, drap your arms over the edge and just hang there. Gravity will take you so you aren't actually LAYING on your stomach but floating!!!!!

Saird - September 18

You kill me! THe size of texas! Haha. Nothing on me every grows except my tummy, which gets huge! I never get b___bs or b___t or anything, and trust me I could use some of both! Miss P, I am sooo excited for you and will definitely be waiting to hear!

beka81 - September 18

OMG i missed you guys! Can I just tell you that yesterday was so miserable for me. I must have caught some bug that was going around my office because i had the runs all day! And even today i feel icky. I just can't wait to pop this little sucker out so that i dont have to be scared of everything although I'm sure i will be ever worse then! OYYYY, a little more ladies. I am SO JEALOUS of all of you who are due before me- which is pretty much ALL of you! LOL :)

ejmeskan - September 18

Well "darn" you then if you only get it in the belly because you will be teeny tiny when you are done!!! I will have a TX booty and Legs even wider!!!! Those are HARD to get rid of!

Patience2008 - September 18

I went for my walk today and felt like I was walking through mud. I just could not speed up! I just dont want to give up just yet. Im afraid if i stop exercising too soon then Ill have a hard time during labor and exercising after hes born (after 6 wks of course!). Miss P, you must be so excited to know when you are going to see your baby! Im at the point where it could be any day and I am getting so anxious!

minnesotamommyof3 - September 18

ok so I had my 36 week appointment yesterday and a non stress test. Everything looks fine he is head down and perfect. I measured at 35 and a half weeks which my midwife said was great so I am not concerned at all since both my girls were 6.8 on the dot. I think he will actually be bigger than they were I just hope not toooo big.lol I called my bf during the NST and he could hear the babies heartbeat and kicks and stuff and he told me when he got home that he was talking to one of his female coworkers and got all choked up and emotional talking about the boy ( which for him is a HUGE step) So very very exciting. I have a ababy pool going here and it is kinda fun getting peoples guesses on when he will be born. I am still super impatient but seems to help a little. Anyone else having very strange vivid dreams when they actually do sleep??? anyway glad to hear everyone is doing good

babywish - September 18

Samantha Elizabeth is here. Early, but we're both fine. She was born 9/16/08, she was DUE Oct 18th. Weighs 4.1 lbs. 16 1/4". She's in NICU but not under lights. She's basically in a temperature controlled incubator until she can maintain room temp on her own, she's eating without tube a__sist, has since the beginning is very rambunctious and cute as a b___ton.

sdmommy - September 18

Congratulations Babywish-- Im so happy for you! Im glad to hear she is doing well and I LOVE the name you picked out!!!!!! I have a question for anyone........... When is it too late to switch Doctors? I had an ultrasound today (at the hosp. not at my docs office) and the tech sd my amniotic fluid levels are low. They are supposed to be between 6 and 27 and mine are at 8. She is already 7 lbs and 8 oz and her heart rate had been consistent at 145-149 but when they checked today it was at 124. I told the tech that I had had some fluid leaking the last week or so but didnt think anything of it because it wasnt a gush or anything and obviously no baby has come yet plus it seems Im always having some sort of discharge (sorry for being so graphic) so anyways then she told me to call my doctor and let them know even if its no big deal at least they are aware and can make an appropriate decision. So I called and told the nurse all of this. Then an hour and a half later she called back and sd that even tho the fluids are low they are still within whats considered "normal" and that was it-- no induction or follow up because my doctor belongs to a hospital that just released a policy that unless a patient is 39 weeks or more there will be no induction. Now keep in mind that I am going to be delivered at another hospital other than the one my doc belongs to. My concerns are this-- my doctor is going on vacation next week. Since no follow up will be done what if I am slowly losing fluid and theres no one to check next week to see if Im low. Plus Im concerned that maybe she is just trying to wrap things up before she goes on vaca. I dont know what to do. I kind of want another doc to look at the u/s report to get a second opinion but I dont know how to go about doing that. Im guess Im just worried that somethings going to go wrong. any advice?

CatsMommy - September 18

Aryanna - I'm just the opposite! The first thing that gets big on me are my thighs, then b___t! I wish I was all belly! My b___bs got a little bigger - YAY! I went from an A cup to a B cup so far - whoo, hoo! Babywish - CONGRATS on the baby! So happy to hear you and Samantha are doing well. Would love to hear details on your baby story : ) SDMommy - how about trying to go to the emergency room? They would have to check in the ER for sure how your levels are doing. You're probably short on time trying to find a new doc... I'm sure they've got to get your records transferred, etc... You'll probably have the baby by the time all that is done. Good luck!
