Beka...my guy gets the hiccups at least 3-4 times a day...and they last about 10-15 minutes...I have found that ice water is what brings them on...or a couple sips of beer...when I get nervous and don't feel him I make my husband drink one and have a few sips...then he gets going and it eases my mind...he loves to get them when I am ready to sleep...the one good thing is that I can feel where his head is, and now I am certain he is facing the right way...YAY! You're not doing anything wrong...

well...I lost my mucus plug this morning...it was non stop...it started out green and ended brown...so I am a__suming it is tinted with some blood...I know the baby is centered...and I am having slight contractions, but they feel more like BH...there is no pain...my mid-wife said I could go into labor within 2 hours or 2 weeks...so all of my optimism is gone. I am going to go walk around and go apple picking, but she did say to pack my car just in case...so we shall see ladies...I did walk about 3 miles yesterday, so I am going to push it and go 4 today... I hope everyone is rested and feeling well...if anything happens, I will put my labor enery out there for you!!!

Is anyone here having their first baby around the 19th? When I went to my dr's appointment last week, the doc told me that since I had no cervical change or contractions that I needed to start preparing myself for a c-section. Does this sound right??

ejmeskan - October 13

Katherine that seems a little extreme. You still have over 2 weeks until you HAVE to get the babe out. That is a lot of time to have things happen and change. When you try to induce someone who has little action down there (dilation/effacement) then the odds of C-section go up dramatically...BUT when you tell someone that you should prepare for a C because at 39 weeks you still aren't dilated that seems to be a little excessive. I have heard of people being ZERO % effaced and ZERO CM dilated and having a perfectly normal delivery going into labor on their own. Maybe the doc was just trying to make sure you understand you do run a risk of C-section when you induce someone who's body isn't ready to go but that seems to be a harsh way of putting it...ok long enough explanation for you? Hi everyone else...No action here!!

Hi Ladies! Wow... what a difference being a mommy of 2! Ha, now I can say I have "kids". It's really double work. My daughter is 4 and little jealous of her new baby brother. It's difficult getting her up and ready for school while I have a new born screaming his head off because he wants to eat NOW! I'm slowly recovering from my c-section. I decided to be bold yesterday and take a little walk - bad idea! My bleeding started up again and I'm clotting! I should just pay attention to the docs orders and sit my booty down another week! Liz - you're hanging strong girly! It won't be long before it's your turn! I know you're anxiously waiting. I weighed in this morning and to my surprise I lost 18 pounds since giving birth! That's amazing! I've got to lose 17 pounds before I'm down to my normal weight but I'm not pushing it at all. I'm nursing and want to make sure I eat enough so my little guy gets all he needs. I'll check in again soon. Good luck.

Wow Mari- I can't even imagine what it is like!! I suppose I will soon find out!! :) I feel this is going to be a long time before little person peeks their face out!! What can I say...I am just a cozy little home for little bub!!!! That's AWESOME about the weight- go b___stfeeding!!! You listen to the docs and rest that little booty...or make Pat go for a walk for you and give you his results! ha! :) Take care! Great to hear from you!

Congrats Catsmommy! Sorry to hear you are having some issues recovering from the c-section...Hopefully it all regulates itself soon. At least you can see the little angel and know its all worth it...Hej ejmeskan, how are you feeling? I know you feel it's not coming out soon but what the baby catch you by surprise! lol....I am doing ok. It's getting harder and harder to move now. I only gained 19lbs so far but i feel like its so much more on my body. I have another docs appt tomorrow so wish me luck. I will keep you posted!

Hi beka! I am doing well. This sweet little bub is testing me though...I had some pretty good contractions last night and then they just went away ...back to feeling great today...bizarre! ha!! I swear it is because I have a sick babe at home!! Which is good...I don't need a sick babe and a newborn! Last wednesday I was at 18lbs but I feel the same way...just weighed down...I feel like ALL 18lbs has gone to my b___t and thighs-ugh! Hang in there!

hi everyone. Gianna Bella is finally here & so perfect. Here's a mini birth story, post the full thing when i get a few minutes. I went in on the 8th at 6am, they started an i.v. & finally gave me cervidil to help me soften & thin out at 11am. They kept it in for 12hrs. & removed it at 11pm. Started pitocin the following morning at like 10:30 & kept checking me- I never progressed any from a 1. Finally decieded on a c-section. Went in at 10:02pm & Gianna was born at 10:36pm. I had a lil scare in the recovery room w/ blood loss, but they were able to control it before a transfusion was needed. She had difficulty breathing at first & needed oxygen for the 1st half hr. They took her to the NICU. She then wouldn't hold down any formula or b___st milk, so they kept her on i.v. fluids. Finally starting sat. night at her 9pm feeding she started keeping b___st milk down & has been since, so they gradually lowered the i.v. doses & weaned her off it. She was released yesterday afternoon w/ me & we are happily home. Post more later- I hope you all are doing well! I am posting her pics on myspace.

Well ladies...I have been having contractions since yesterday around noon...it has been officially 24 hours...they seem to be slowing down...which is annoying. I finally got some sleep. My due date is tomorrow, but I have an appointment at 3:45 today. Hopefully they will tell me some good news...I am going to get in the shower and then go for a nice long walk and try and get things going again... EJ...I hope your little one holds off until your other one starts feeling better... JNFR...I am so glad you all are doing well...that sounds like it was so scary...so glad they were able to control everything...enjoy your little bundle...

ejmeskan - October 14

Oooh Heather good luck...please update!

beka81 - October 14

Yes Heather, please, please update. That did sound scary. Glad things are working out for you now...ej, you're actually lucky the little baby is waiting until your other child gets better. You see, already its a good baby! :) i forget...boy or girl?

ejmeskan - October 14

That's what I thought...this little person knows that his/her (we don't know!!) big bro needs some extra TLC from Mommy and Daddy!
