hey, im 30 weeks pregnant, and i was wondering if anyone else had a job that was constant standing and if they did, do you have constant cramping pain within 5-6 hours of your shift where you can barely walk. The baby also feels like it weighs about 20 pounds. Oh and i went to the bathroom today and when i wiped myself there was a greenish discharge. is this normal?????

hey there, i haven't had a "job" that was constant standing, but i've got a 6 year old and i have done childcare for 2 additional kids this whole pregnancy, and that involved a whole lot of standing-- anyways YES i too have felt the awful pain from being on my feet too long, i get wicked pain in my hips and lower back. If it's your job i would suggest bring in a stool, so you can sit or at least rest as much as possible... it's no good for you or the baby to put yourself through that... and as far as greenish discharge, i'm almost positive that must be some sort of infection, definately get that checked out right away!! Prolly a yeast infection but get it checked to be sure its not serious.

hi, i run our family restaurant, and we have been shortstaffed this summer...soi'm on my feet 12-16 hours a day...i'm going to be 28 weeks tomorrow...and this past week its really hitting me...i've been physically forced to slow down...I feel like I get this pain in my b___t....and my back...I also have an 18 month old who likes to be carried...I have found that the pressure socks (those you buy for flying) have really helped me...but i'm realizing now that i'm going to have to cut way back...(which won't be easy as we are just going into the height of our summer)...good luck...
