hiya ladies, well I'm here in Holland, but what a fiasco getting here...we drove 8 hours to go by an overnight boat from the middle of England to Holland (mind you we had driven from Scotland)..so we did it overnight, we arrived a few hours early only to be told that they were not going to let me travel...I was so mad, at no point did the man tell me that they cut off at 34 weeks...I had told him over the phone how far I would be and all he said was that I needed a medical clearance (which I had)...so realizing their mistake, the woman asked me "well do you really need to go?"seriously did she think I was doing this for the fun of it?!?! anyways they said I could travel from Dover (at the bottom of England) another 5 hours away...so we ended up basically driving the entire British Island...but I got over here at last, and the party yesterday went fantastic...but now i'm soo pooped...no more for me, i'm being spoiled by my aunt and uncle...and finally catching up on my sleep....caseyann, glad to hear you are still hanging in there, is your dr keeping a constant watch on you? I would insist on it if I were you...smmom 17 days left wow at least you now....K8 so glad you popped in, I was wondering about you, I agree with smmom, you will be amazed how things just instinctively kick in once your little one is born...pink, i hear you with the heartburn, last time my daughter had already dropped at this stage, but this one is still so high that the heart burn is killing me...especially at night, for some reason I wake up at midnight everynight with my chest on fire...also it feels like this kid is playing kickball with my ribs...so painful...but we're getting there ladies :-))

Hey! Just wanted to update you guys. Minnesota, USA has been SO hott and i'm just not used to this weather! I'm sweating in places I didn't even know existed! haha! Anyways, I had my 35th week appointment on Friday, & my doctor did the group b test & checked my cervix. She said i'm not dialated any, but that my cervix is soft. She also mentioned that there is protein in my urine & that I have always measured on time but this appointment, I measured smaller. So, now, i see her every week (which is routine at this office) but I also have to get an ultrasound once a week too... (it's more of an extensive one...called a Biophysical Profile) to check the amino fluid & because I also have gestational diabetes, she wants to keep track of the body measurement of the baby too.

Thanks I know instincts will probably kick in I am just starting to worry bout things now. I realised on the weekend I am going to be in the hospital by myself without my other half and I am freaking a little about that. I know I am worrying about nothing and that I will be fine. Just as its getthing closer I am getting scared. Cookie that really doesnt sound fun, I can imagine you would have been tired. I am really finding it hard to get up and go to work. I have a few more weeks until I have to stop and I wanna make it there. I am just so tired all the time now and moody apparently. My other half and mum had a good chat about me and how moody I have been. I dont think I am being that moody but must be I guess. I am just over it I think and sick of being tired and not being able to do things like normal. I've gotta go have another blood test today to see if I am anaemic. My iron level was really low last time so they gotta check again, I have been taking tablets so hopefully it has gone up.

Hello ladies.....Cookie...glad you made it to Holland safe and sound. Now if you could just keep that baby in there to make it home !!!!! I hope you are enjoying your holiday. You deserve it !!!! PINK....I hope everything goes well with your appt.s and your u/s. k8....dont you worry hun....trust me you will know just what to do. The nurses wil help you alot the first couple days in the hospital. And whenyou get home...you and your baby will adjust after a couple days. Well...ladies....I ended up NOT making it to my due date !!! On Saturday morning...I woke up at 5am with bad contracitons every 7 minutes. They would NOT go away. SO the dr said got o the hosp. When I got there i was dialated at 5...so I got my epidural and my son was born at 532 pm. He weighed 6lbs 3 oz and is the most beautiful little man I have ever seen....along with DH. SO...i have my little man and did not make it to Sept. Oh well..he is worth it !!! Sept is almost here...which means you are all almost done !!!!!!!

Hi ladies! Cookie, happy belated birthday! I hope you are enjoying vacation. Smmom2, congrats!!! Thats outstanding to hear that your little man is here!! So glad everything went well. Pink I am having the ultrasounds/biophysical profiles every week too, along with NST's, because of being high risk, I have very low fluid, and I completely understand your frustration!! I am just 35 + weeks but the baby is measuring out at like 39 (he's huge!) so I am also miserable and evyerthing hurts...not too much longer though!! K8 I am sure going to the hospital by your self will be a bit tough. Hopefully you can round someone up to go with you, and dont worry the mothering instincts will automatically kick in, I have been worrying about that myself lately, but my mom and sisters have all a__sured me its automatic. As for myself had another ultrasound on Thursday and fluid is yet again lower. Its now considered "extremely low" if I get .4 lower, it will be in the "danger zone" I hate just waiting for it to get lower and have problems, but my doc is now saying he wants me to hold out. and each ultrasound that I have had the last two weeks he has dropped fluid by large amounts, this last ultrasound it went down 1.5. I am having a hard time with this because the baby is so big, and he has had steroids, I realize he may have problems with his lungs when he comes out if delivered now, but if not... I run the chance of losing a 5th baby by waiting for something to get worse....I am really torn here, and my doc just treats me like he's the doc and I know nothing... very frustrating!!!! Still holding out though and hoping to have the "big" boy soon!! Have a great weekend ladies!!!!

WOW congrats smmom2, didnt quite make it to september but ah well...! Good Stuff. My boyfriend and mum will be there for the birth I meant, they just cant stay over night with me which means I gotta look after my bubs by myself... Which I am sure I'll be fine but yeah.. Scared a little bit. I had a doc app on thursday they tell me bubs is breech and I may need to have a c-section. She has been in the same post_tion for the last 4 weeks so I am hesitant to think that she will move now... They have told us about a procedure they can do but it may send me into early labour and I'll have to have an emergency ceasarian which I really dont want but I think its gonna end up that way. I am a little dissapointed cause all along I have wanted to give birth naturally and I dont think thats going to happen now. Does anyone know of anything that may make her move by something I can do..?? Anything would be good, I have tried walking and excersing a bit but that doesnt seem to work.. I go back to the doc this thursday to see if she has moved and to decide if we want this procedure. I am not sure what I want to do...

hi girls, back in scotland, and still no baby....smmom CONGRATS!!!! hope you write your whole story down...you have a little Leo...Casey, have you thought of getting a 2nd opinion? It seems your dr is so blase...if your little one is so big already, etc...maybe it would be safer if he was delivered? (sorry not a dr or anything, just read too many baby books...) but I'm sending you big hugs to make it through this and your baby is going to be fine no matter what happens...K8, you are going to be great, and having your partner and mom there during the delivery will be wonderful...Pink, sorry to hear how hot it is, here we are already getting into fall and cold...hope the heat wave goes away soon...

Hi ladies. Hope all of you and your little ones are well. I'm doing ok. Just really tired and sore all the time. I'm 37 weeks and 1 day :) Finally full term. I practically begged my doctor to induce me yesterday. lol but he said I have to wait 2 more weeks....ahhhh. Well at least the weather here in Rhode Island is getting cooler and I can sleep a little better.....When are you all due again?

GloriaD - August 29

Hi all! Havent been on in a while, we've been vacationing. So this week Ive been feeling really c___ppy. I started taking the raspberry tea, I dont know if thats the reason or not. Im not due for 29 more days though so I dont want the baby coming to early, at least a week and a half, until Im 37 weeks, that would be perfect!! Im getting really uncomfortable now. I was never like this with my son. On the plus side I started potty training my son 2 days ago and he's caught on so quickly!! I guess the timing was right! We've had a couple pee accidents but nothing major! and I havent had to change a poopy diaper in 3 days!! love it!!! I just hope he doesnt revert back when the baby is born. Anyway..hope all is well, Cookie we havent heard from you in a while, hopefully there is a baby to talk about!! Oh does everyone know what they are having, we're keeping it a surprise!

Hello all, I'm 37 wks 1d with my third (All boys) and can't wait to get him outta there! At my last appt. I was 2+cm and 50% effaced but I know not to get my hopes up too much, besides he can use all the cooking time he can get! I'm due Sept.18th and counting the days, I love being pregnant but this one has been the roughest, my first two were breezes the whole pregnancy and delivery but this little guy is giving me a run for my money. I've been reading forums and websites all over the place just to comfort myself that I'm not the only one ready to get this show on the road :).

Cookie - August 29

hi girls, welcome back Tasha, i'm drinking rasberry tea as well...I think it taste blah, but I hope it works...i'm 38 weeks tomorrow...but i've been having irregular contractions on and off for the past few days (yesterday all afternoon and evening but today none...grrrr....sometimes it feels like she is sitting right on my b___t...I love my hypnobirthing cd's though, they are great...really helping me relax and i'm sleeping so much better...I just hope it works when the time comes...we're getting there ladies :-))

smmom2 - August 29

Hello ladies....my you have been busy !!!!Cookie...I am glad you made it back to Scottland safely. OK....this is to all you ladies that said you are 37-38 weeks...remember you can deliver your babies earlier then 40 wks...especially if this isnt your first child. I had my first at 41 wks....my second at 38 wks and my third came at 37 wks !!!! He will be 2 wks tomarrow...can you believe it !!! I was due on Tuesday the 2nd with him....so it will be bitter sweet. To think was sceduled for and induction on that day also. I was dialated at a 3 and 50%efaced at my last dr appt on The thursday before I had him. Then that Sat I wa sin labor starting before 5 am. SOoo...you never know ladies...these bh contractions you are having can totally turn into real labor. COldmoon...my 3rd pg was the most rough on me as well. I think it gets worse with every pg...and by it...I mean everything....the morning sickness, the fatigue, the braxton hicks, the LABOR contractions....worse !!! But they are totally worth it. TASHA......I Also have been potty training my 2 yr old. She started a couple months before she turned 2. Well she got the concept of going in the toilet and then the whole weekend i delivered my son she was in underwear. She pottied in the toilet the whole weekend and kept herself dry !!! Then we came home with the baby and she immediately peed on our floor. So sad. Well its been 2 weeks and she is finally getting back on track....we havent given her undies back, she is getting closer to it I think. Anyways....>I hope you are all doing well with these babies....I am having a hard time getting Carson to sleep with our mommy and daddy. It scares me to think of the possibility of something happening to him whle sleeping. But I dont know how to get him to sleep in his ba__sinet. ANyways...I need to get to bed.....

Cookie - August 31

smmom...so glad to hear your doing well, we decided not to potty train dd until after the baby is born b/c we were worried she would regress, she was going on the potty a little, but then got scared (she peed on herself)...so we backed off, and will wait until she is two (she is 20 months)...hopefully that will give her time to settle in with her sister...this morning I woke up at 4 with back aches, and couldn't sleep..and it felt like I had been kicked in the groin...I couldn't get back to sleep so at 5ish went downstairs to watch t.v....well since then nothing...backaches sort of went away...but I did at least get my whole house clean today...and got the baby's chair set up etc...just wish something would start happening..lol...I was 38 weeks yesterday...and with my first I had her at 39 weeks...

Hey all, glad to see we are all still going...!! Not long now. I am 37 weeks today..!! Had an ultrasound on friday, bubs is approximately 8 pound already and she has hair... Pretty amazing that they can work that stuff out just by looking at it. The cutest thing, she was sucking her toe while the lady was doing the ultrasound, we caught it just as she was doing it.. lol. She is still in breech position. They dont think she is going to move so looks like I'll be booking in for a c-section sometime in the next couple of weeks, they dont want me going too close to due date dont want to risk me going into labour... I am a little dissapointed I wanted to do it naturally, but ah well whats best for the baby is important to me. I am quite over it though so kinda glad I will probably go in early. I am so uncomfortable and just want her out. I dont know if its just the fact that I want to meet her so much.. Its weird how you can be so attached to something that you dont really have yet, if you know what I mean. I just cant wait. I am so excited. I keep changing things in her room and moving things and cleaning things. Its just yeah, getting really excited now. Cant wait. Hope everyone is feeling well still and going nicely. I bet everyone cant wait....!!!
