Weird Swelling In One Hand

So yesterday I noticed that i am having a lot of swelling and discomfort between my thumb and forefinger. In the webbing in between them both. Has anyone else experienced is? Should I be concerned? I have an appointment on Tuesday but am wondering if I should be worried...I am so close to the end, that I am paranoid and hyper aware of my body...it is tender to the touch, but I don't want to call at midnight on a Sunday sounding stupid...

maybe you were bitten by something? i can't imagine, but if you can stand it and it isn't getting bad really fast, maybe call your doc on monday? good luck with it though!

I agree, you need to inform your OB of anything unusual. My thought is that it is not pregnancy related. If it were your whole hand I would be more concerned. Nonetheless, atleast call and speak to the nurse on Monday.

well...I am going in tomorrow...they think my hand is just carpal tunnel...but they are going to do an u/s. It will be a 39 week u/s...but they want to look at him...it makes me a little nervous WHY they want to look, but at least I get to see him. I will keep everyone posted...

Maybe the scheduled the ultrasound just to make you feel better and put your mind at ease. I cant imagine the baby having anything to do with your hand swelling (the pregnancy-yes, the actual baby-no). I have heard of women getting carpal tunnel when they are pregnant.
