wow - dentist at one? My pedi said she was fine until 3, then she should start going in. I think they have 20 baby teeth but I can't remember for sure. Rachel just got her first molars a couple of months ago...the big ones. :) That was NOT a fun process. Her top ones haven't come in yet though. I'm also making her an appt this summer.

Thanks for all the congrats everyone! I think we are due around the same time, Buckeye! My LMP was May 29th...so I think my due date is somewhere around March 15th, but not sure, because my cycles never regulated. I had a 62 day one bf and then the 38 one...so? Dawn, yeah-- the food thing threw me off too because I am a good eater! Lol! Dh and I are really excited and happy. I made a celebratory dinner tonight: chicken cordon blue, garlic spinach, texas toast, and little personal servings of Blue Bunny Peanut B___ter Panic. I even went out today to check out the double strollers at Babies R Us! Fefer, DDT, do you have any reccomendations? I'm leaning towars a Graco Quattro Duo. But I like the tandem strollers too...but it seems too heavy. I am really bloated and ga__sy like though! I already pulled out my maternity jeans to see if they'd still fit, and I have a little muffin top! Not good! My thighs fill the jeans now, whereas with Dante, they didn't. I think I need to move up a size in maternity pants to M. I might get a Bella Band this time though.Im definitely going to stick to an exercise routine, even if its just walking. I would really like to do pre-natal yoga. Anyhow, My gosh, Pam!I can't believe Kai has so many teeth!!! Dante has 6, and no molars yet, but I think Fefer was right...20 teeth is what they're supposed to have. I wish the U.S. had the awesome maternity benefits that you have!!! As far as nursing goes, Dante loves the b___b. I have to make sure we're out during the day so he's ditracted, because otherwise he'd reach for the b___b. Its taken me a month to get down to 4 feedings! My milk supply sees to still be there when he needs it right now though. He gulps a lot, and fast...so I know sometimes its rushing out. I can squeeze and still get a lot...in fact the other day I sprayed some out!!! Dawn, I'm sure you'll have something work out for you along the lines of better housing soon. You're a strong woman and always seem to find a way to provide for yourselves and your little girls. Thats something they're always going to remember. We might be moving to my brother's about 20 minutes away because of the lack of work lately. Its tough being self employed in the home renovation field. Heck, its a tough time in any field it seems right now. Rent for our apt is $945/month, and thats excluding the utilities...so its just too big of a cost for us for now.

Christie I have my own house here which my friend tells me I should be happy with lol cause its not a rental and its not overpriced .. but I guess I just would like to have more house for the kiddies .. but in the end I have to make due with what I got for now and one day I can upgrade but it will take time I guess. I am getting new carpet I think as a distraction haha I am also thinking of downsizing my queen size bed into a daybed or something since its only me sleeping it in then for the baby I would get a co sleeper maybe but that will buy me some room here .. then i can give violet the big bedroom since she has all the toys and all ...I crawled up my kids dads a__s again today he just says all the wrong things to me and dont bite my tongue I think he doesnt fight with me cause Im preggo though haha cause he doesnt fight back - so it makes me wonder if he is even listening to me at all - ugh who cares sometimes I just want to move away so I only have to deal with him 2 weekends a month tops but Im not sure if I can do him that way .. he really loves violet alot but I dont like him pushing up on my life either. ugh .. ah well ..

Hey gals. Quick couple of questions for you. Dominic is 13 months old now, but still won't hold his own bottle. i feel like he should by now. not sure if he can't or just choses not to. He might just be lazy. However he doesn't do it with a sippy cup yet either- an actually doesn't drink that well out of one which is why he still takes a bottle. Any suggestions? his pediatrician said we should start weening him from a bottle anyway, but in the mean time i think he should be able to hold that and a cup on his own. How did you get your little ones to hold it?

fefer1 - July 10

well, Levi never took a bottle but he took right to the sippy cup. Try giving it to him to play with..see if he likes it that way. Maybe take the stopper out so the milk drips out and he can figure out there's something in there. That's what we had to do with Levi. Try giving it to him with meals, let him play and get accustomed to it. Other than that I have no idea. Both my kids had no problems really...both were either never ON the bottle or off by 10 months. Sorry, can't help too much there! dawn - tough spot to be in. From a "dads" perspective, he does have a right to see her AND when she gets older she'll appreciate that you allowed it to happen. You know we have issues with the other MOM who does not allow the kids to see their dad (since we have been married) and it's really sad. Not only do the kids miss out but so does dad. BUT...I can totally understand your situation. If it was ME I would not want to share at all. :) 945 for rent??? Man I wish I lived where you do! My BIL & SIL are looking at a house a bit bigger than ours and more remodeled and it's about $100k less in Kansas City. NO FAIR! We just refinanced and are down to a little over $1900 a month. Home ownership is expensive!!! Well, we're heading out for the weekend in a few hours - out to the cabin for my husbands jeep weekend. I get to spend time with the kiddos - can't take them this year. Maybe next year. sigh....so much fun for me! :)

DDT - July 10

Hi ladies! Wow, you have been chatting away on here! buckeye: My oldest never held his own bottle. When I dropped the bottle and replaced with a sippy cup at 13 months he was fine holding his own cup. With Jaxon he holds it by himself. Has since he was about 9 months old. He won't even lay down or sit to drink. He walks around with the bottle hanging from his mouth. He's not willing to waste any time, and doesn't want to miss a thing. With Jaxon I never encouraged him he just did it. Sorry, I can't be of much help. Jaxon has 6 teeth now. 2 bottom and 4 top. He has been restless at night...I think it's teething. They get 20 teeth. Caden is 2.5 years old and were still waiting on his 2nd year molars. Both my kids got their teeth in later than the norm. We have a 1000 sqft and pay $1000 a month in mortgage. It's not much but with this slump in the economy and housing prices down we can double our square footage for only another $200 extra on our mortgage payment. newlywed: I bought the Graco Duoglider. It was great! Don't have any complaints. About 2-3 months ago I sold it on Craigslist and got a Joovy Sit and Stand. LOVE it! It`s great for 2 toddlers because the eldest and stand and have the freedom to get off and on by themselves.

Sprinkles- I haven't had much luck on the 1st trimester site either. so hopefully you gals don't mind if i post about my toddler AND my pregnancy. I just had an us friday b/c i had spotting on thursday night. i was scared to death. this is my 3rd preg. 1st was a miscarriage, 2nd was my beautiful son and now this one. Now in all 3 of my pregnancies i have had spotting. it must just be the way my body is, but it is so nerve racking. especially after the miscarriage. anyway, the us looked good and they saw the heartbeat. I believe i am 6w3d- somewhere around there. Anyway, still feeling uneasy. i thought i would be less worried this pregnancy since i had my son, but not the case unfortunately. Just can't wait to get out of the 1st trimester now. Anyway, took Dominic for his 1st haircut yesterday- to one of those kids haircut places. it was worse than when he gets shots. He screamed, tears, thrashed. it was awful. my husband had to hold his hands down. His hair looks super cute though! Anyway, it was totally stressful, but it was so long he was starting to look like a girl!

Buckeye ..I am totally not bothering with the tri boards maybe I will peek in a post randomly but I am not going to like buddy up like we did here with the june mommys - no one can compare to you girls anyway! haha I thought of making like a 2 under 2 topic for us but what difference does it make anyway lol .. I would be really worried too .. I mean going through a miscarriage once kind of makes you paranoid enough but then spotting ... that would freak me out too no matter how normal it is for my body. I had a miscarriage before I had chastidy so that was a long time ago but you never forget it. We will count down til the end of the 1st tri with you! I think I am ending the first tri now well .. this week anyway. I have an appointment for the 1st tri screening this coming week on Thursday - Shame they can't tell the s_x .. haha I suck at patience! I was going to buy that gender determiner thing but they say half the time its wrong .. well that is pretty much common sense i guess since it can only be one or the other haha ! I am waiting for this guy to call me with an estimate for new carpet for my living room and I am going to try and make the best out of this place - I just cant sit still haha I figure after the carpet I am going to toss my queen size bed and maybe get one of those things that looks like a sofa but pulls out to a bed like a futon - I found one that is suppose to be comfortable it is only 300 bucks .. I figure that will free up some room and maybe get a corner desk for my computer (my desk is falling apart anyway plus that will give me more room) and then for my living room I have a 52 in projection tv which is bulky so I put it on craigslist and some woman emailed me she is 'suppose' to come today (fingers crossed) and look at it but if i can sell that and get myself a flat panel 42 inch and a corner stand with storage that will free up a lil room in the living room so when the new baby gets here i can fit a swing down there.. my house is TINY so every lil thing matters. For some reason with this pregnancy my skin is oily and I got a lil couple pimples going on.. never had that before. Anywho I can't wait to take violet swimming this week we are going to a pool by my parents tuesday i got her this baby swimmer thing with the canopy so I hope she loves it - it wasn't cheap :( Ok well ttyl~ Hope all is well!

Wow Chatty Girls!!! Congrats Newlywed and Buckeye!!! You have now joined me and Dawn in the pregnancy train once again, lol. I'm not 29 weeks and starting to feel really super duper pregnant. I swear my belly is maxed out alraedy, it's huge. This little one is really active too. King is doing great. He's been walking since 11 months and is crazy! I can barely keep up with him anymore. We are in the process of buying a house and waiting to hear back if our offer has been accepted or counter-offered again. It's such a nightmare. I'm worried that they will want to settle 2 or 3 weeks before or after my due date and then I won't really be able to help with anything. Does anyone else's babe still nap lots during the day. King still takes 2 (2 hour) naps during teh day and is in bed by 7:30 or 8, sleeping through until 7:30 or 8 in the morning. I am not complaining at all, just wondering if it's normal at this age. Also I'm having a tough time getting him to drink enough milk. My ped said he should have 16-18 ounces a day and he refuses to drink milk from his sippy cup. He has been on the sippy since 6 months with juice and water but never milk and now he doesn't like milk from the cup. The other day I put a bit of strawberry syrup in in and he drank it right up but I'd hate to do that everytime, adding extra sugar to it. OK well Mr. Man is waking up calling for me so I'll ttyl!

Sprinkles - July 12

Gabby! violet takes the same naps ..when she is being watched by me or chastidy and is on her schedule she naps 2 times for 2+ hrs each then goes to bed for the night at 730-8 and sleeps til 6-7am. Have you tried the Gerber graduates smart sips? Violet seems to like the strawberry one and it is good for them - My ped said as long as she is getting the servings she needs a day she is ok like I giver her cheese n yogurt n stuff throughout the day then some milk here and there as she takes it

gabby509 - July 12

Dawn, I haven't tried the smart sips but if they are packed full of vitamins I'll try them. I am just worried about King having a vitamin D deficiency or a calcium deficiency. He does eat lots of dairy products so I guess that helps too. He is so active when he is awake that I'm not surprised how good he sleeps. I think he's trying to say words too lately. Like today I kept telling him uh-oh everytime he fell or plopped on his b___t and he kept repeating me. He also has learned to fake sneeze. He goes achoo and puts his head down like when you sneeze and if you don't say God Bless You right away he will keep doing it until you say it. It's so funny. It seems like his babbling is starting to sounds more like babbles too and less like grunts, haha. Isn't it crazy how old are babies are getting. I keep trying to remind myself that I'll have a newborn around soon and it's gonna be totally different.

yeah they are good for them .. I showed it to the doc and they said yes that is great she can have that - so I give it to her - she seems to like it they have mild vanilla mild strawberry and regular. I remember reading they make it with fat free milk then add in omega something - the good fat i guess. It is amazing how big they are getting I know .. I still cannot imagine having a 2nd little one ..omg lol

hey, we just got back from our weekend trip so I only have a few minutes. I'm exhausted. Levi and Rachel were up both nights till 10pm or later, woke up a LOT during the night, Levi screaming. Today he got up at 5:30am and decided to stay awake. I think he's teething big time. Naps: Levi sleeps from 9-10 and again from 1-4 (approximately, sometimes 1-3, 1:30-3:30 etc). He's in bed at 7pm and up at 7am. Rachelwill be 3 in 2 months and she still sleeps from around 1-4 as well. Just a note for your one year olds...when you THINK they are trying to get rid of their nap in the afternoon, STICK TO IT!!! They really do need it and will go through a stage of trying to not take one. Rachel did that right around 2 - might have been shortly before (18 mo) and also shortly after 2. She was just being independent - big girl bed - changes etc. I refused to give in. :) Plus, I was preggo and then had a newborn and needed MY sleep during that time. They are both really awesome sleepers. i never use my Graco duoglide - not anymore. We use the jogger a lot now that they are both bigger. It's not great for stores but it's been pretty good for us. If I go to the mall the Graco is wonderful but most of the time now Rachel wants to walk, and I can keep her on track MOST of the time. Some days I want to strap her down. :) Milk: Levi drinks a ton. he loves the stuff. I have no idea how much he's getting but he gets a full sippy cup 3x's a day at least, sometimes more. Plus I give him water. I stay away from juice - the calories fill them up and they are less likely to eat full meals/drink their milk. Rachel has recently started getting more juice now that she can vocalize what she wants - but I still limit it. they don't need it since they eat lots of fresh fruit. I have late teethers too - Levi still has only two and Rachel is missing her upper molars. She got hers at 30 months DDT. Yours are on their way and let me tell ya - they were a NIGHTMARE! She's started chewing everything again so I'm wondering if her last two are on their way. she bit through the DVD power cord today! She's as bad as the dog! Haircuts you guys??? Levi barely has any still!! :) DDT- what a deal for you! I wish our mortgage was lower - it's the home prices here. Our house is 2000 sqr feet - and almost $2000 a month. Maybe we should move to Canada! :)

Sprinkles - July 14

Sharing time .. I am officially 12 weeks today .. have my appointment for my 1st tri scan Thursday wish me luck!

fefer1 - July 14

woohoo Dawn! Let us know how it goes. :) My stepson is here for the next two weeks - he's 20. haha, older than SOME people on this forum. I'm an old fart - ok, not really, but my husband is older than me and I'm older and...he started young?? Anyways...we're going to be busy, or I am since my husband will spend every spare second with his son. Levi has been cranky pants lately!! Bed time used to be so easy but now he screams his head off if I go near his room or lay him down. He only cries for a few minutes at most now but it's weird. Just a stage I guess. Those teeth STILL have not come out - I'm waiting!
