Hi I'm 12 weeks preg with twins, naturally no less, don't know how that happened. DH and I are excited and a little nervous. My question is are there moms out there with twins for the 1st pregnancy and when did you start to show? my doctor said I'd look like 16 weeks by the time i was 12 weeks but 1.) I don't know what 16 weeks looks like cuz I've never made it past 9 weeks b4 this and 2.) i swear I'm not getting any bigger at all and it's starting to make me wonder a bit. Last ultrasound my little ones measured at 54.6 mm....anyone know if thats good or not?

hey, congrats on the twins. well i am now 22 weeks with identical boys and they are going to be our first. now the question about showing is hard because everyone shows differently, it depends on things like height, weight, etc. at around 16 weeks i was at that stage where *only i could notice i was showing* but i was overweight to begin with. now at 22 weeks people can definately tell i am pregnant... FINALLY :D u will find u will start to show sooner with twins but some women dont show til like 5-6 months with their first single pregnancy... u just dont know. i dont know about the measurement of your baby... sorry i couldnt be more help. good luck and have a happy healthy pregnancy!!

Hi silencingtearsofhope my due date is Feb 5th so we are very close on our due dates!!! But I can't really answer your question because I have had 2 children already and my daughter was only 13months old when I found out I was expecting twins!!! I hadn't even lost my belly blubber from her yet. My 1st child I was slim and only had a tiny little pouch at 16 weeks. My doctor gave me an ultrasound at 12 weeks but didn't take any measurments, it was just so we could listen to both heartbeats because the doppler only picked up one. I will let you know the measurments when I get my next real ultrasound. I wouldn't worry about not showing yet, because when you do it wont stop growing!!!!!!!

I'm now a proud Mummy of twins (3 months old) after having a m/c at 13 weeks with my first pregnancy. It's hard to accept that it's really happening to you, isn't it?! - but it is :-). I started taking photos of my belly from the same angle every Sunday morning from 12 weeks so I could put my mind at ease when I thought I wasn't growing. It really does happen slowly in the beginning, and people don't help when they say "oh, you're not showing much - I thought you'd be bigger than that with twins", because after having had a m/c you're paranoid that you may not be growing enough. But relax, you only FEEL like you're going mad ;-). Anyway enjoy it because from about 30 weeks you'll be so huge and uncomfortable you'll wonder why you ever worried. Have fun on your twin journey!
