Hi girls
I got my ultrasound results for our little baby and we discovered that I have placenta previa (Low). Our OBGYN said that 95% of the time it corrects itself but I would sure like to hear from some people who have actually experienced it. I am a little scared and I just want to enjoy my pregnancy. Are there any old wives tales on how to help the problem fix itself? I would sure like to hear from some people. thanks

Hey Rosenow....your OB is right - that problem corrects itself a lot. I don't remember the names, but I've seen several women post about that and by the time they delivered, it completely resolved itself. I don't think there's any tricks to help the process along, just time. It corrects itself as the uterus grows larger and the area the placenta is attached to grows higher. I know it's easier said than done, but don't let it worry you. There's nothing you can do about it, so why dwell on it? Think of it this way...you'll probably get a lot more ultrasounds now and get to see your little Rosebud more often!! :-)

Buffi: thanks. I have been feeling a whole lot better about it. My sister told me she had the same thing with her dd. I just thought that because I am 24 weeks that might be a little too late for it to fix itself. There is really not that much on google about it.

Hi Rose my daughter had this same problem, she had regular check ups and by the time she reached 33 weeks the problem had solved its self. I just want to tell you. try not to worry, i know thats easier said than done as my daughters still worried about it. but i'm sure all will be fine. My daughter gave birth 2 weeks ago to a healthy 6lb 7oz baby girl.
