Hi all. I have been on 100mg of clomid days 1-5 (prescribed), and am on CD 18. I did a PT this morning, and it was a BFP!!!!! I was just wondering, since it has shown up so early in my cycle, could it be multiples?

When I was prego with my twins I didn't get a positive until I was 2.5 months prego. With my last baby I got a + when I was only 8 or 9 DPO. It really just depends on when the baby implants. Good luck though! You never know. :)

Are you charting? Do you know for sure when you O'd? Or could you have already been pregnant and didn't know it? I only ask because you would still have to be like 7 or 8 dpo at least which would mean that you had to have O'd at like day 12 which is entirely possible clomid or not. Especially on days 1-5, you would probably O earlier. On days 3-7 I O'd the first time on day 19, the secon time on day 17 then did 2-6 and O'd on day 16. So earlier makes O happen earlier. I don't think it's possible to comment on it being more than one or not unless you just "feel" that it's twins. CONGRATULATIONS ARE IN ORDER THO!!!!

I didn't get a BFP till 13dpo. I would recommend taking a FRER they are the most sensitive. I was testing with $ tree tests and getting LIGHT lines, but they were showing up after the time limit from 11dpo-13dpo when I finally broke down and bought a GOOD test..lol GL

Hi. I just wanted to update you all on my pregnancy. I am now ten weeks and I AM pregnant with twins. They are in the same sac, so I am a__suming they are identical. Is this right? And since I was on Clomid, is it correct that that doesn't increase the chance of identical twins at all, only fraternal?

Congrats! Yes it increases chances for fraternal.

Congrats Danielle! Yep, if your twins are in the same sack they're not from the clomid! Have a happy pregnancy!

I have heard that fertility treatments actually have a higher chance of identicals. I don't know why but for some reason, it isn't rare to see someone with identicals twins or even triplets where 1 egg split so one twin will be fraternal and the other two are identical.

Samehere, I think that usually results from IVF with a__sisted hatching. They score the egg with a laser at some point and I think that's what sometimes causes IDs with IF tx. That's what my RE told me when I commented about all the IDs on his wall of pictures in his office.
