I am six weeks pregnant i had an ultrasound done and they saw three sacs with one viable baby to date. They are bringing me back in next week to check to see if there are any other babies. Now I have been spottin brown and had little red flakes of tissue fragments being released with my urine. They said if the sacs that are not viable are leaving my body I would notice that. Is it true?? And has anyone seen one baby and an empty sac later to see more babies??? My Beta was 7,058 which is line with a single pregnancy at six weeks.

My hcg level at 5 weeks was 5,000 and then 2 days later it was 15,000+++ My experience was different - at first they saw 2 sacs (at 5 weeks) and then at 8 weeks we saw all 3 babies. I wish you luck. I have to say that I had spotting AND active bleeding for the first 15 or so weeks of my pregnancy - it could be implantation bleeding or subchorionic bleeds. All the best!

What are subchorionic bleeds ?? I have yet to hear that term used. The thing that frightens me is the tiny little fragments of red tissue that seem to come out in my urine, and the brown spotting. I guess I will have no real answers until next weeks ultrasound. By the way I have not used any fertility drugs or in-vitro. This is all natural. Is that common??

You mean it was spontaneous and I dont know the statistics on it, but let's say it is not THAT common. Look up subchorionic bleed - I believe it is a little sac of blood that forms where one of the babies implants that bleeds. I had anything from brown spotting (which indicates old blood) to full b__wn gushing brigh red blood w/some little pieces of tissue. Good luck.

I had a fourth sac during my pregnancy that they saw at 5 1/2 weeks, but it was very small with no embryo. I had brown bleeding that the doc told me was either from implantation bleeding or the 4th sac pa__sing. I had another U/S the next week that showed no sign of the 4th sac. I continued to have bleeding (brown, bright red, clots, tissue) throughout the first trimester.
