I posted this question in the third trimester section too, since I wasn't sure where to put it. I know this is gross, but I woke up this morning and there was a glob of what looked like thick gel in my underpants, it was inbetween white and transparent. I am now almost 36 weeks pregnant with twins. Does anyone know what this is? There was no pink or blood. Should I be concerned or call my doctor?

Hi, that was probably your mucus plug, no big deal unless you bleeding. The plug comes out either just before labor starts OR it can be up to 2 weeks still. Very normal. Some women lose it in patches so it's not super noticeable and some lose it in a big chunk, it won't be too much longer now...GL

That totally sounds like your mucus plug. You can lose it weeks before going into labor. You might want to mention it if you talk to your doc, but it's not really a big deal. It just means that your cervix is beginning to change in preparation for labor. I lost a bit of mine 2 weeks before the babies were born and then the rest came in one big chunk 3 days before. (and I mean it was BIG). Get ready mom!!

it's your mucus plug, and it's nothing to be worried about. and it doesn't mean that you're going into labor. all sorts of gross stuff happens to us pregnant types doesn't it?! take care.
