Tummy Size And Twins

Trill - March 17

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and started showing quite significantly at about 7 weeks or so. Most people I know tell me my tummy should still be flat. I've put on about 3 kilos since conception. What's normal? Am I going to have a big baby? Am I likely to have twins?

could be either. No way to know without an ultrasound. Is it your first pregnancy? If not, you do show faster in subsequent pregnancies. Also, every woman carries differently. Generally speaking you don't really measure larger with a twin pregnancy until the second trimester. At 9 weeks the baby is only about an inch long, so one or two wouldn't really make much of a difference in your size. If you're really concerned see if your doc will perform an ultrasound earlier than usual.
