2 Sacs 1 Baby With Heartbeat

I just found out that Im pregnant with twins.Im 7 weeks.
I went april 18th for my first ultrasound I was 5 weeks and only one sac was seen. I had 2nd ultrasound May 2nd and there was 2 sacs but she could only get a good view on one of the sacs. She said the heartbeat was good.Well my Dr said I will have to wait until may 30th to see if the other baby is okay. Has this ever happened to anyone? Im so nervous the wait is killing me.

Unfortunately this is quite common. My 3yr old dd was a twin, but was lost due to Vanishing Twin syndrome. Where there is a sac, and even possibly a fetal pole but no baby. Your still quite early in your pg..there is a chance that the 2nd baby was conceived later and is taking longer to develop..I hope that is the case...It can really go either way..sorry im not much help...Please keep us posted.

most of the time the heartbeat cant be heard until the 8th week. alot of times especially with twins one may grow slower than the other. this happens alot and most of the time when you have a repeat ultrasound both babies will be fine. dont freak out and just relax because there is nothing you can do differently to change how things will be, so just relax and think positive because that is all anyone can do. this happens more than you know so dont stress about it. and yes it could be vanishing twins but more than likely just that one is developing at a slower pace. good luck to you.
