Chances Of Twins Multiples

I really want to try for twins for the next pregnancy with Clomid. But is anyone else scared to have more than 3? I could handle 2 and maybe 3, but I'm terrified to have more than that. I know the chances are really small, but with my luck I'd probably be that 1%. LOL. Anyone else have these fears? We won't start trying for another couple months. **BABY/TWIN DUST TO ALL!** Congrats to the Mommy's who just found out they are expecting! :)

to answer the previous "are you serious"...yes we are! I have 2 sets of beautiful twins the first identical boys, naturally. the second fraternal girls by clomid. I am TTC one last time before I turn 34. They are all healthy and happy. My pregnancies are high risk, but well worth it! my first set were 4 weeks early and my girls were only 2 weeks early. with the girls I used 100 mg of clomid days 2-6. Good luck to all of those wanting twins!

Sarah - you are truly an inspiration to us all. Days 2-6 means simply that that is the day you take your clomid ...1st day of mentral flow being day 1. Hope this helps

Days 2-6 means day 2 through day 6 of menstral flow??! Is there a greater chance of conceiving multiples if you take Clomid early, such as day 2-6 instead of day 5-9?

Hi Everyone, Well I did a htp today it was a BFN...But I'm only 10dpo so I'm hoping that it's just too early. Fertility friend said that temps were possibiliy triphasic today, so I'm hoping that my temps stay up, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high. Gracie: Yes I believe that if you take clomid earlier the chances of twins are higher. I read a study about it somewhere but I can't remember the site sorry. Hello to everyone new!!! Bust dust to you all.

Well, it is offical, I am pregnant at last. Doctor says all is fine but HCG levels are pretty high. I have had really early morning sickness and really bad cramping but the cramping seems to be easing off. I have really enjoyed reading all your postings and following how everyone is going. I am not seeking twins, I am not that brave, I really would be thrilled with one health baby. I have however been been aware and was advised by my OB of the chance of twins with taking Clomid being over 35, having twins in the family and so on.. Anyway hoping those of you who seek twins and more realise your dreams. I shall await with some nerves my first ultrasound. Good luck everyone!!!!!

Hi Sonya, That really is wonderfull news i am truly happy for you. Please keep us up to date with your progress. I to would be happy with just one happy healthy baby. It took us 2 1/2 years to conceive our first and we haven't been using contraception since he was born 14 months ago. To us even 1 baby would be a blessing and I think that all of us need to keep that in mind. 2 would be even better. I hope that all of your dreams come true. Let us know how the ultrasound goes. Jaime

Sonya - Congratulations! What great news!

Congrats Sonya! Jaime....dont' give up for some thats just toooo early. I'll pray temps stay high! As for me not feeling too positive that this is our month. I have had lots of dull ache in my abdomin & my b___st feel full...however could be s/e of clomid or early af symptoms. Good luck ladies

Amanda - July 24

Lauren...I have been having the same symptoms. I rarely have tenderness or fullness in my b___sts before af. Maybe will both have a BFP this month. I believe we took our clomid about the same time. Good luck and Baby Dust!

Lauren - July 24

Amanda - yes if I remember correctly you are 2 days behind me...wouldn't it be cool! I hope we are get BFP w/ 1 or 2 would be perfect!

I have a quick question. How do I count the day of Clomid taking? Do I start counting the first day when my period is over? or do I start counting the first day I'm having my period.

SarahLee - July 25

Well Ladies...I'm waiting for the Clomid and Provera to show up...I hope it doesn't take to long...DH is going away on Aug 17th...he is going to start traveling for 11 days then home for 7...that is going to make it hard to get pg...I'm really hoping that we can concieve twins... Lauren - Did you say you were from Canada? I'm from Canada...east coast...

About ovulating late with clomid ... Is there a way to know? I would like to try for girls, so that means knowing when I'm going to ovulate. do the OPKs work when taking clomid, or does the medicine affect it? And does the OPK give enough warning time to try a few days ahead of ovulation? I've read for girls you want to BD before you ovulate, but I've never used an OPK before. It seems a lot of you have, and I thought maybe there are others who are trying to influence gender.

Lauren - July 25

Marina - you start the clomid on the specified day. For ex. if you are taking it days 3-7 start on the 3rd day of your mentral period. Day one is always the 1st day of heavy flow. Sarah - I'm in Ontario! I was just enjoying some seafood & thought how wonderful it would be to live out there! Well I just got back from gettng my progesterone tested will know for sure tomorrow if I O'd...then the wait begins.

SarahLee - July 25

Lauren that is AWESOME!!! I'm in NB...so the girl I ordered clomid is from the UK...I'm really hoping it doesn't get held up at the border...
