Hi Amy - well I hope they will release for you are they nice & large? why did your doctor say to take the clomid on days 2-6 if you don't mind to tell. Do you ever ovulate on your own? talk soon & I will pray for u

Lauren- Here's what I found about the different on days you're taking clomid "Should I be taking Clomid on days 3-7 or on days 5-9? In theory, days 3-7 of Clomid lead to more follicles and fewer side effects on the lining and the mucus. Days 5-9 lead to better development of just a few follicles. It seems to make a difference for some women and does not make any difference in others. Little conclusive research on the issue exists." I found this on the other site I chat in- hope it helps!

thank you Amy - I understand this now. So your doctor is really going for the more follicles & reduce side effects on your lining I recon. How r u feeling? Quest. do you think a person would have an increase chance in having twins if they take 100 mg on days 3-7 ?

To Kim - June 20

Thanks for that Kim, I went to see my doc and he did say that it would be against his rule to prescribe clomid 'unnecessarily' however he referred me to get some bloods done to test ovalulation - if there's prob then he will take it from there, if all good then he will advise alternative methods. I have an appt for weds so will update on thurs. I went to the website u mentioned to obtain clomid, unfortunately I am based outside the USA so would not be able to use that source...

Lauren- I can O and produce eggs on my own- I have to kids that I had absoulutly no problem concieving. I ended up O on sat. and I had 2 eggs, so we will se if both take- keep your fingers crossed.!!! I think I would start out on 50mg, because more mg doesn't always mean more eggs, and if you take too much you can misscarry because the Clomid can be too much for your body, It happend to my friend. Let me know what you do!!

Hi Amy - I am not sure what I will do...would like to have the greatest chance you no. more eggs & follicles sounds good however the side effects are scary. I wonder if taking 100 mg on days 2-6 or 3-7 have a greater % in multiples than less & on days 5-9? I hope both your eggs drop...twins!!!! Good luck at your appt Kim

Sunita - June 21

Hi Amy&Lauren - Hope it goes well for you Amy, hope both eggs take and all is what you wish for. All the best to you too Lauren - were you prescribed Clomid or did you also purchase it privately - I'm finding it abit hard to source privately in the UK, this is just incase my doc says all is okay and refuses to prescribe cloimd to increase my chances - anyway we will see, I have my appt tomorrow evening so will keep you posted...S

Hey all!!! I hope that my post will not be met with judgment as none really knows what is going on with someone unless they walk a mile in their shoes. I have a beautiful Little boy. My husband and I have been ttc #2 for 17 months with no luck. My doctor just keeps telling us to come back in 3 more months. I personally can not take it anymore. I have tried to do the right thing. I have made an appointment with an RE but now have to wait another 2 months to get in to see him. I decided that I had to take matters into my own hands. I have already had all the pre-clomid testing and I am fine so I have ordered it and am now just waiting to start it when af comes, days 3-7 is what is recomended for unexplained infertility. I am over 30 and got my first period at 9. I feel like waiting could cause us to never concieve another child. Any tips or advice I can get would be very appreciated.

Mandy - June 22

Hi, Mindy. We have the same situation and I also started my period at age nine. My doctor put me on clomid days 3-7. I am currantly on day 14 and BDing every other day. Kim gave some really good advice about taking baby asprin and mucinex. Her original post is about 18 posts down from the top and further down you will see her answer to my question on how much to take. Good luck ....M

Mindy - June 22

Thanks Mandy. I think my doctor underestimates the damage of early onset of the period.

Hey! I just wanted to give you girls an update since I haven't posted in a while. I should be about six weeks along according to my LMP. I have my first OB appt. Fri with u/s. Hopefully I'll know how many beans stuck:-) I just pray it won't be more than two....three at the most. My symptoms are sleepiness, sore nips, tingly b___bs, and a stretching sensations in my uterus. I pee alot but I did that before anyway. I noticed that my ankles are a little swollen but I'm on my feet alot and that has happened in my pre-pregnant state. My face is breaking out and I had some brown implantation spotting last week for about 24 hours. I also have some occasional lower back aches. Oh and I almost forgot...constipation. My temps ranges from 98.6-99.3. So far, I haven't had m/s. I'll let you guys know how my appointment and u/s goes. Good luck everyone! ++++++BABY DUST+++++++

Lauren - June 22

Kim - sounds like things are going well. I hope your going to have twins...can you refresh me on days you took clomid & dosage? Mindy - I wouldn't blame you to purchase the clomid...you go girl. Not like were getting any younger & the older we get then the more scares we have.

Sunita - June 23

Hi Girls - feeling abit low today as I went to see my doc yesterday and got the results of my bloods. All is okay which gives reason for my doc to be against prescribing Clomid...He said it against his professional morals and there are too many risks involved, i.e. if anything happened to me as result of his prescription, he does not want to be held responsible...he has advised that he will refer me to a private fertility specialist (obviously which will cost extra) but even then nothing would be guaranteed just a consultation/second opinion. We'll have to take it from there...no what I wanted to hear but half-heartedly expected.

Lauren - June 23

Sunita; why don't you purchase your own clomid alot of women are doing it these days...where do you live? some places are harder to get it then others from what I've read from other women. How long have you been trying?

julie - June 24

kim, have you seen your doctor yet today? Let us know what happened! We can't wait to find out.
