I was wondering what your doctors reaction was to you pregnant with multiples and if it made him/her suspicious of using the drug clomid.I will be taking clomid in the future but first I'm taking folic acid to increase the chances of having twins. Please respond Take care

Hi Ladies - well the appt went well. I don't go for my U/S until the 18th (which sucks) however we couldn't pick up a heart rate yet either...bummer! I am 9.5 wks now & have a little ponch going. I also learned at my appt today that I can have the option for a vbac again even after having 2 csections. I am alittle down today as I think if I was carrying twins we would have picked up a heart beat. I am happy with one also just was praying for 2 is all. Kim - so glad to hear you are well...I prayed for you & your family in your loss....we also had a tragedy happen we lost my brother so I would love a little boy to remind me of him. Julie & Amanda glad to hear you guys are pluggin along well. I forget do you have one already? lets stick together girls!!

Good to hear from you, Kim! Lauren - This will be my 3rd baby. My oldest, William, turned 4 in June; and my daughter, Jillian, will turn 2 in 3 weeks! Crazy! I can't believe they're getting so big! But...I wouldn't be ready for another one if they weren't! So far so good with this one. My U/S is scheduled for Friday the 21st. I'll be 8 1/2 weeks by then...but the baby should only be measuring 7 1/2 weeks, since I ovulated so late in my cycle. Good Luck everyone...and keep updating us!

Lauren - October 6

Julie - this is my third too. Will you be finding out what u are having? do you think its twins? I have 2 girls already. I go for my U/S the same week as u. good luck ladies.

Hi everyone, and congratulations to the expecting moms! It was so exciting to read about everyone's good news. ... Kim, it is wonderful to know you and the triplets are doing so well. ... I just started my first round of clomid! I am a little nervous, I think! I am taking 100mg days 2-6. I seem to be having trouble sleeping. Anyone else notice that about clomid? Or is it something else causing it? Maybe it's just excitement. : ) ...

Julie - October 6

Lauren - If there is just one baby, then I will probably not find out. We didn't find out with our last one, and I loved it! But, if there's more than 1, then I'll probably find out. It would be fun not to, but I don't think I could hold out. However, I'm not too sure that there's more than one in there. Yeah, I have more symptoms than I have had with previous pregnancies, and are really exagerated, but I still don't think it's twins. That would just be too easy, and exactly what I want. And...since when does that happen? LOL... I'm just praying for a healthy pregnancy, and I'll be thrilled with whatever I get.

Lauren - October 6

Julie - I agree with you I don't think this is twins for us either that would be just what we wanted & that doesn't happen to us very much. I really think a heart beat would have come up if there was more than one in there.

Amanda - October 6

Hi ladies, I had to go back to the doctor this morning for another u/s. When I awoke this morning I pa__sed three good sized tissue clots. All is okay though, the baby is doing great. I got to hear the hb again. I could also see it moving around. The doctor thinks I hemoroged were the embryo implanted and that is why I had the spotting early on. She the tissue just finally pa__sed and to take it easy for the next few days that it will heal itself. She also said that the chances of m/c after such a strong heartbeat and what they could see would be very slim. I feel so much better. It is possible that clomid thinned my lining enough to cause the hemorage, but they can't say for certain. I already have a 27 month old daughter. They won't quite be three years apart. Baby dust to all of you still trying!!!

Julie - October 6

Lauren...don't fret about the heartbeat! It's not unusual to be unable to hear the heartbeat before 10-12 weeks. You're close to that, but maybe you just need a little bit longer? I'll be anxious to hear about your u/s. Amanda - I'm glad your little one looked good on the u/s. Take it easy and let yourself heal. Keep us updated. How far along are you again?

Nichole - October 6

Lauren - Don't be bummed about the heartbeat thing. I went to my 12 week appointment and it took FOREVER for them to find a heartbeat on me. (they were trying too low.) The big clue for me was when my doctor was checking the size of my uterus. Apparently it was measuring 16 weeks instead of 12. This is my third pregnancy and much to my surprise, there are two babies hanging out in there instead of one. I didn't use any clomid or other drugs to help out, I just haven't taken BC for 3 years. And twins run in my family. My sister had a set, and my maternal grandmother had 3 sets. Even though things happened natural for me, I'm rooting for all of you who really want twins in whatever way you can get them. I'm a little scared myself, but it's people like you, who are very prepared and ready to nurture a multiple pregnancy who could totally handle it. Good luck to you all.

tanks nicole you hit the nail rgiht on the head.....this exactly what other woman who feel we don't really know what we are asking for and are doing to get it fail to understand....its this that we want these twins so badly that if we are blesed with them healthy or unhealthy we are prepared to deal with it with utter responsibilty and confidence...
