Ang, wow why are they dragging it out so much? Can't you get the sono, and sa done by june ad start treatment? I think saline sonogram is very similar to hsg, and from my experience, it wasn't so bad..except for the catheter balloon being inflated...that was pretty uncomfortable but not unbearable. I wish you the best of luck, and keep us updated on how the tests come out. Afm...I had my iui done last week Sunday and had my progesterone check yesterday. It cam out to 5, so I was put on suppositories just in case I'm pregnant. I'm ging for pregnancy blood test this comming Sunday but will probably do a hpt on Saturday.

Tricky,Reese and Hopeful thank you. I guess they are starting me on Birth Control to requlate me. And with the appts those are the first available that they have. They do have me on a cancel list though. Hopefully it will not seem to take too long before those appts. Seems like forever two months from now basically. But I have waited this long so far what is another two months. LOL yeah I dont know, got plenty of things to keep me busy in the meantime. DH joked around the other day and said maybe when we go to Texas in may we will conceive while we are there. That would be too cool. It seems like everyone is getting pregnant. Our friends dtr who is 19 in pregnant and the other one is 20 and might be pregnant. So hard.
Hopeful: Cant wait to hear if this is your month fingers crossed.
All of you ladies are sooooo great and I really appreciate this site when I have time to get on. I do not have a smart phone and no internet at home. So only if I have like 5 minutes to type in here at work.

Ang- I am still curious as to how only one month of bc will help regulate you? I guess they are doctors and should know what they are doing... ????

Okay ladies I guess it is not to help regulate me. I guess the birth control helps thin your lining as if you where on day 5-12 so that they can actually perform the sonogram. I called to check for cancellations today and they had one this friday and next thursday but that wont work! This sucks.

Hi ladies, I have a problem and need some advise. Usually on CD21 I take a progesterone level test to determine whether or not I ovulated. So far I have ovulated twice out of the 6 clomid cycles and didn't even know until the progesterone test came back. Other women have said that they do get ultra sounds done before ovulation to see if there are any mature eggs so that they can prepare for it. I have used OPKs and haven't helped in determining ovulation. I will start on my 7th cycle this month with clomid 250mg.I am thinking to ask my gyn to give me an ultra sound before ovulation because I dont want to miss another chance. What do you think?

Marium- I think you need to find a RE you ob has no idea what's going on, you should never take clomid for 7 months strait and a dose of 250 would prevent 99 percent of women to stop ovulating that is waaay to high before your dr gives you ovarian cancer find a new dr

Ang, that sux that everything is so dragged out, but I guess at least they're doing tests of you in the process. Why didn't they just do an hsg? You wouldn't need all the preparation...just af to start.
Tricky, I'm doing ok...extremely tired, dizzy and cranky. I don't know if its a bfp or just all the meds playing with my head. Well find out in a few days. When you got your bfp...did you check for cervix positions? Mine is extremely low...lowest that its ever been..could that mean something? How are you doing? 2 more weeks!!
Reese, I'm with you on the ripping off heads lol

Mariam- I am with momof6, I would go to an RE!
Hopeful- Well hopefully it is a BFP for you! No, I didn't check my cervix postion because I wasn't sure what the difference was... I am doing good, just waiting out the next 12 more days.. lol Maybe your cervix being lower is a good sign?! Sticky Sticky baby dust girl!

I am guilty of not posting as much here anymore! Welcome new ladies.
I am on cd15 today, and still no positive on the opt (but I am getting a faint line, so maybe this is good). I usually have a longer cycle anyway. Last month was my first 28 cycle in all the 10 years I've had a period - even on bc). Fingers crossed. My temp went up a little the other day, but I think that was just bc it was warm outside and I was hot while sleeping.
I had 100mg of clomid (again) on days 5-9. I did three months of 50mg on days 5-9. And I've taken provera a few times to bring on my period. I am happy I finally get a period almost monthly (about 35 days on average) when I used to only get it every other month to every three months. I am so hopeful this is our month, as it's our second wedding anniversary as well.
Baby dust to all still ttc and hh9m to our moms to be! Here is to us all seeing BFP!

Mariam – I agree with the other ladies – you should look into going to an RE who will monitor you more closely. 250mg is a very high does and most doctors don’t recommend being on clomid for longer than 6 months. Some doctors won’t prescribe past 3-4 months. If you are on month 7 and it is not working then you need a closer look at what is going on and a RE would do that. I will list how my RE tracks my cycles to give you an idea of what you can expect with an RE.
My RE monitors me very close and I’m only on 50mg. I have to call my RE’s office when I first start my period, I then go in on CD 3 or 4 for an ultrasound to make sure there are no cysts before being given the prescription for that month, then I go in 5-6 days after my last clomid pill for a follicle scan to see how my body is taking to the clomid, my RE can usually give an estimate on when I’m going to O based on the follicle sizes which for me is usually 2-3 days after my scan. Once I get a positive OPK I go in 2 days after for another ultrasound where my RE checks to see if my follicles have started to shrink – if they have it confirms that I’ve ovulated. My RE only did a progesterone test twice. Once in the first month I saw him because we were tracking my cycles trying to pin point where I needed help, and then second month because it was my first time on clomid and he needed to check to see if my body responded to the 50mg which it did so I have not had my levels checked since then.
Sorry for the long post, but I wish I would’ve had the info before going to my RE because it is a lot to take in at first.

Wow Desert flower, thats amazing. My gyn has done none of those things. He has just prescribed clomid for me and then did progesterone levels on cd21. I'm soo angry right now that I've missed out on proper care. grrr
Thanks honey, I'm definately switching to RE.
