myjournie - Other people will start joining in. :) At one point I know I ovulated really late and there were women on here that would go all the way to day 29 so don't worry, it could still happen.
I started my period today on exactly day 28 which is unheard of for me. I always start on day 31 to 34 so I'm pretty excited. I called the Dr. this morning and waiting for a returned phone call to prescribe femara, order follistim shots and schedule a day 3 sonogram. I've never had one of those so not sure what to expect. I'm pretty freaked out about having one while on my period but I'm sure he has seen it all.

Just got a call from my Dr. and feeling a bit overwhelmed but very excited. I have a day 3 scheduled for Wednesday to give the okay to start femara, then a day 10 to make sure follies are growing & day 11 to do an IUI. If there is anyone on this site who has gone through this please tell me your experience.
God Bless Ladies!

Hello ladies!
I'm new to this forum- and I just started TTC for the past 2 months. I'm 35 and I've had 2 brain surgeries, which is why we had postponed children. But I'm ready now! My doctor founf a 1.5 cm. intramural uterine fibroid, which is worrying me (would it make things way more difficult? :(
My cycles were always very regular (27-28 days) but last month i was 5 days late! (talk about dashed hopes when the AF arrived)
I just started my first cycle of Clomid today, and plan
to take Robitussin and baby aspirin as well.
Very ansi and nervous girl here...
any advice?
God bless.

yesi24 - Girly, you are such a trooper! Prayers coming your way! :) My sister in law had a fibroid and had to get them removed but they were bigger so I'm sure they will be monitored very closely, don't worry. I can imagine your disappointment!!! So what does of clomid are you taking and what CD are you on? I tried the baby aspirin and instead of Robitussin I used mucinex but don't think it really helped. Prayers to you!!! Can't wait to hear about your updates, sounds like we are pretty close to being cycle buddies.

Hi argomez1030! Thanks for your reply and your kind words!
The doctor said she would like to do a very easy surgery for the fibroid, but I think I'd like to try for 3 cycles with clomid before having the surgery. It is a small fibroid (i think) compared to what I've heard from other ladies having them.
I'm taking 50 mg, and today is my CD3.
I've been taking my pre-natals and folic acid for about 3 months.
Girl! i'm sooo nervours! I really need good news for once! :)

Argomez - I keep checking back in here to see if you have come back - and I am delighted to see that you have. I keep praying for you and can't wait to see your BFP!
miraclebebies - hope it all going well! think of you!
To all the new people on here - I hope this site is as helpful for you as it has been for me. I am not here really any more. My daughter was born in July. She is my joy. She is keeping me afloat through the new challenges I have to face.

Peef - Hello Dear Friend! So glad to hear from you and that your little girl is doing well. How are things progressing with DH? Still praying for you guys. :) Thank you for your kind words, I can't wait to come back with a BFP as well.
Yesi - Hang in there, I know your good news is coming. From what all the ladies have always told me on here, don't stress and have fun. :)
I started my period yesterday and boy did the cramps come this morning. I thought I was a teenager again. I was so excited cause it seemed like that era of cramps went away but it sure did return with a vengeance this morning. Just got a call from the pharmacy and my follistim is on it's way :) and I'm all scheduled for my what feels like a thousand appts. This will be my first time doing shots and an IUI. DH isn't too happy about the IUI but now sure any man would be. lol. Have a blessed day ladies!

Thank you argomez! I'm praying for both of us to get great news soon!
My doctor just got me on estradiol (days 8-12 3 times a day) and prometrium at bed time.
Anyone had success with this combo?
should I still take the aspirin and the robitussin?
Thanks!

Good afternoon ladies! Ok, to give you a recap...I'm 41, have a 19yr old son, had a laparoscopy done this past Jan to make sure that my tubes weren't blocked (thankfully they're not), but found that I had a mild case of endometriosis (w/c the doc took care of it), I've been taking prenatal vitamin since started ttc, & just had my 1st round of Clomid....with 2 more rounds to go. My doc told me that if this first round doesn't work, that she will refer me to a specialist to do an IUI. I go back to see my doc for Day 21 test on Friday. Hopefully, this round works. I'm praying to be a Clomid success story......hopefully SOON! God bless each of you & lotsa baby dust to us! :-)

yesi - what is estradiol and prometrium for?
TTCafter40 - That's awesome, can't wait to hear great news for you. Have you gotten a positive ovulation test?

argomez,
From what I've been reading, estradiol is supposed to help ticken the lining of the uterus so the egg would implant. and prometrium is progesterone, taken after ovulation, to help prevent miscarriages..

Well Ladies, today is cd3 and the day of my ultrasound. I'm very nervous but God knows what he is doing. I will get the go ahead today to start my round of femara and instructions about the injections. I'll let you all know how it goes.
yesi - thanks for the info. I don't think I need estradiol as my lining is always great but not sure about the prometrium. You having any symptoms of post ovulation?

argomez, I'm praying for you today!
Today is my CD5, clomid pill #3. I'm supposed to ovulate 5-10 days after the last pill. So far, I've been very dizzy, but that's pretty much it for the clomid effects.
Hopefully this month will give us another thing to be thankful for!
Stay strong :])
