This will be my first time on clomid. I have been ttc for 3 years. They suspect pcos, but still have to have more blood work ((ugh)). Iam on provera and this is my 2nd day on it. After my AF starts I'm starting on day 5. Is there more multiple births starting on a certain day?.....Thanks.

Hello Everyone! I am very new to this but it feels so comforting. I have not started my first cycle of clomid but my husband and I have been trying for 2 years. I am on 50mg days 3-7...I hope it works on round one but I think my husband has been spooked with the possibility of twins and triplets :o) I also take metformin...any side effects to that? By the way- can someone help me with the lingo? ttc? bfp? I'm confused! :o)

hi wannababy! i'm also new to this clomid thingy. my 1st round of clomid, i don't think i ovulated because my doc had me take my temp every morning. i didn't have any side effects. just felt a little dizzy from time to time but other than that, i didn't experience all the mood swings i read about. i haven't started on my 2nd yet cycle of clomid yet. my husband and i have been ttc (trying to conceive) for over a year now. i had my first born naturally though so i don't know what's happening to me now! anyways, i go to my doc today so we'll see how that goes. best of luck to you and keep me posted on how clomid works for you!

This was my first month taking Clomid. I do not ovulate every month (but most months), and my luteal phase has been short, so my OB put me on 50 mgs. days 2-6. I had minimal side effects- mild hot flashes (only at night), and some mood swings. Also, I did ovulate later that "normal"- cycle day 20 or 21 occording to a positive OPK. I got my first positive test 2 days ago- at 9 dpo. I have taken several tests since (just to make sure!), and now the line is even darker than the control line!!! Plus, I have tons of EARLY symptoms..very tender b___sts, swollen belly, dizzy, feeling faint, stretching pains on both sides of my abdomen (but especially the right side), hungry, tired, thirsty, and having to get up to pee several times at night- YES, already! We are so excited and thrilled...but also scared (I just suffered a loss at 12 wks along on May 1st- I was expecting ID twins). I will give an update once I know more!!!!

Goobers - August 20

HOPE3, Normally when you are on Clomid it really changes your cycle and you won't seea LH surge til a couple days past your normal cycle. I typically don't see mine until about day 17. But as we know everyone's cycle is different.

I was recently diagnosed with pcos even though I don't have cyst on my ovaries. I do acquire some of the syptoms. I have hypothyroidism as well I have a slow metabolism. I have been married for 7 years. I have been trying to conceived for about 8 years with my hubby. I went to my doc and she gave 88mg of synthroid for my thyroid condition. 500 mg of metfromin and 50 mg of clomid. I have also been taking vitamin c tablets as well as 400 mg of folic acid daily. With all this going on I hope and pray I have a baby soon. I did research on the web and found out if your trying to get pregnant it is best to take folic acid a month before you start trying this help prepare the body for getting pregnant and it also helps prevent a huge amount of birth defects. Also taking vitamin c while on clomid increases your chance of conceiving. Also I learned that vitamin c helps neutralizes cigarette chemicals in sperm, decrease the amount of clumping and abnormal shape sperm, it helps sperm count, motility and viabilty. Thats why I have my hubby take multy-V daily and 500mg of vitamin c because is a smoker he is trying to slack off but I don't know if he will but I have a little more confidence thanks to my research on vitamin c. also b- 12 and zinc selenium are all sperm boosters. So ladies if you and your man are not taking vitamins you very well should be. This can help out alot. I am keeping my fingers cross that I will conceive within the next few months. I will keep posting and letting you know my condition. I take clomid days 5-9. I also had took provera to induce my cycle I havent had one since May. I am very irregular. hopefully all will be well. I enjoy reading the forums. They are very inspiring.
