trying4twins - Just in case you didnt know . . . highly acidic mucous tends to kill off male sperm being that they are weaker then female sperm. Being that you are going for a DS I would try to balance out those levels. I have heard that there are different things that you can eat or drink that will do it. Caffeine tends to help reduce acidic levels. I am trying for a DD so in June I will be removing all caffeine from my diet.

Thank you SoReady. I had actually heard that and am trying to change my diet so as to make the "enviornment" more male sperm friendly. Also, the PreConceive is supposed to help balance out the PH levels a bit. I'm hoping that the diet change along with the PreConceive will do the trick. Baby dust to all.

I went to the store and they didnt have it. :0( So I am just using mucinex which is prob better because i heard any lube can cause problems even pressed. So it is more natural to use mucinex. I have been having cramping not to bad today off and on ( cd 9) and some spotting once. It happened last cycle to but when i test I am not "O". Any Ideas??

Mzwest - I have heard from a number of people that clomid can push back O so it is probably normal. Did you have a problem last cycle with cm? Not everyone has a problem with it. My first cycle I will probably just try the baby asprin and then just see if I need an extra lubricant.

MZwest, what did you find out about the wal-mart preseed? Trying4twins, I remembered this after my post, but my friend who did IVF always had about 9 matured eggs in each ovary, so...like your research said, women can and do ovulate on both sides at once. Good luck to us both.

SoReady- I dont think I will O until around the 28-29th. The pains happened last month around the same time and so did the spotting. I have been keeping a journal about what I am taking and changes in my body. Kinda helps keep my mind on somthing else. Wishful thinking- I checked my Walmart and they didnt have it. But I have read online about people finding it at there walmarts for pretty cheap.

wishfulthinking that makes sense about the baby oil. i thought that something might be amiss with using it. so i'll look up preseed and start taking mucinex after i'm done with the clomid. this is day 2 on cd 3-9 for me, and i am going to take it the 7 days like your suggestion. and the dh is going to be out of town [not too far] for a couple days, but i think i might be able to swing down if the timing is such that we need to bd. trying to do it everyday is...so much work! :o] are we allowed to drink alochol while on the clomid? sometimes that helps with the bd. i'm trying to remove caffeine as per soready's comment, but i still need my 1 cup in the morning. how do we know when the clomid is working? i'm not feeling any s/e so far. i'm taking clomid 100. tryingfortwins when did you start feeling o pains?

haveaboxer, my O pains started yesterday (cd15). I got my + OPK on cd 14. I still have mild pain on both sides, but not as bad as yesterday.

mzwest, I got my PreConceive at the local Rite Aid for $14. It was with all of the other lubricants. I also went to walmart (before I thought to try Rite Aid) and they didn't have PreSeed or PreConceive. If you have a rite aid or other pharmacy near you, I would suggest you try there.

Thanks trying I will check there.

Haveboxer, I don't want you to think I'm suggesting 7 days of clomid, that's just what I did. I would feel terrible if I told you to do it and then something awful happened. But I gambled, and so far I seem fine (knock on wood). I still haven't O'd and it's cd 15...I'm getting wrestless. I thought we might need to use Astro-glide (which I don't know how friendly it is with sperm), but with the mucinex, we haven't used any lubricant, and it's a little dry but okay. MZwest, I had a lot of cramping on day 10 and thought for sure I was O'ing, but it went away. It comes and goes though. I have another friend who conceived twins on clomid cd 5-9, and she said that with her OPKs she got a positive indicator of ovulation on 2 separate days. Her twins always measured with one 3 days smaller in utero, and she was sure it was because the eggs released on separate days. So even if any of you get a positive OPK, you may want to keep checking for a few days to see if you can get two surges. LOL.

I forgot to say, "Welcome aboard brev. We'd love to hear your story and offer encouragement. I hope you get your twins.

Wishful- I know how you feel. I was the same way last month( first cycle). I thought either I missed it or was not going to have one. I went to babymed dot net and they have a clomid calculater. It said that I would not get a positive until cycle day 17. Cycle day 17 I got a positive. I have heard alot of women dont O until day 17 so hold in there. I Know I keep looking at my calender like I can make the days go by faster! LOL.

wishful.thinking - May 22

Thanks Mzwest. But I guess I spoke too soon because I got a positive OPK last night after I posted. It was still positive this morning too. Now this is my first month ever to use OPKs. So would someone please tell me how long or for how many days they should give you a positive reading. Please tell me how they work and what to expect. I sure appreciate it. Thanks.

Mzwest83 - May 22

My doctor said it can stay positive for a few days. So you only need to test until you get your positive. Good luck!!
