My doctor said it can stay positive for a few days. So you only need to test until you get your positive. Good luck!!

I forgot to say my pain has increased to both sides. I did not test to day because I went to work and forgot my test. But did have a lot of snot like discharge. Does anyone know what that means? I was never good at the CM checks

welcome brev! i think this is a nice thread with really sweet ladies! looking forward to hearing your story. i'm cd 5. day 3 on clomid, and debating on whether i should up my dose. i'm on 100 right now. strange not feeling any s/e's really. just a little bit of nausea here and there and the only blatant s/e was waking up in the middle of the night with major hot flashes...sweating up a storm even though the ac was blasting. such a strange feeling. wishful - i think i will stick with 3-7 since this is my first time. but maybe i will up it on day 4,5? what do you think? i just want to make sure i give myself the best possible chance this first time. i'm going to pick up mucinex tomorrow and try to get to a riteaid for preseed/conceive. mzwest thanks for the babymed.com site! thanks so much for all the support to everyone. baby dust!

wishful thinking - Where did you hear that astro glide was ok to use when ttc? I have been looking for any information concerning astro glide and I havent found any. I live overseas so it is hard to get products such as preseed, so if astro glide is fine to use then I can get some from a local store. What cd are you on and when do you expect to O? I am certainly curious to find out if taking clomid for 7 days helps you conceive twins. I will start taking clomind next cycle and I am hoping to get prego in July. I have read all the same info that you did about exposure to the sun. I am so glad I live on the beach and my 2 yr old loves the water. Starting June first I am planning on going down to the beach at least 4 days a week. The other days I am going to lay out on my balcony during nap time. to soak up all the rays that I can get. I will have an advantage though because my OB has already said that she will be giving me the trigger shot on cd 14. Normally I dont O until cd 19 so I may wait until cd 15 to get the shot so that my eggs have a little more time to mature. I was planning on taking clomid cd 3-7 (even though my OB said to take it cd 5-9) but if taking it for 7 days works for you then I might consider taking clomid cd 3-9. Good Luck to all the Ladies this cycle! Baby Dust To All!!!

Mzwest - I may have already told you this but it is possible to O twice. Ashley's twins are 5 days apart so she obviously O'ed twice. There is a website called peeonastick dot com, and it encourages women to continue using OPK's after they have got a + until they get another -. If you continue to have + OPK's for several days then you know that you should keep bd'ing. Check out that website. If you have any questions there is a section where you can ask it and they will answer. I bought 50 OPK's on ebay and it only cost $15 and that included shipping. So I plan on testing even after I get a + OPK. I am one of those people that has to know if I have O'ed twice. The plus side of continuing to test after the first + is I will know if I have a good chance of having twins. The only negative is that I will use a few extra OPK's and I am ok with that. Dont get me wrong there is always a chance of O'ing 2 or more eggs on or around the same day; therefore continuing to test will only show ngatives.

Mzwest83 - May 23

I know it is possible to O twice. But You cant count on a OPK positive twice to mean you did. When you take the test it prodicts that you will O in the next 12-48 hours so for the next 12-48 it will be positive until you O. What i am planing on doing is haveing s_x the day after I get my positive then every other day for about a week. Just in case

So, I guess it's time for the 2ww for me. I'm on cd 18 now. My O pains are gone and I have the post O discharge. This is the worst part, not knowing whether or not it worked. I think I will start testing around cd 27 because I have heard that you can get a positive as early as 10 days after conception. I have about 10 pregnancy tests so....anyone else post O?

SoReady - May 23

mzwest - I as just saying that if someone were to O 5 days apart then the OPK's would show the second O. I dont think that the OPK's would be + for 5 days in a row.

i took 200 mg for my day 4 today. no s/e's except feeling tired...tomorrow will be the last day and then onto mucinex. according to the clomid calculator i should be o-ing sometime around may 28 - june 2? getting lots of sun, trying to be healthy and positive, and appreciating everyone's time here. bd!

i have a random question: what exactly do your clomid tablets look like [color and marks]? i just want to make sure [i guess kind of late] that what i have is legit, since maybe we never know for sure what we're getting from these companies. today is cd 7, last day taking clomid. most notable s/e's - hot flashes, crankiness, and a little nausea, but nothing debilitating. best to all.

lookingforbabies - May 24

hey ladies, this is a test post

lookingforbabies - May 24

yayyy, my test post worked! I think this thread is awesome, and I'm looking for cycle buddies as well! I'm currently in the 2ww, but not feeling like it was a success, so I'm needing some support for the next round. Here's my story: My doctor prescribed 50 mg clomid cd 1-5, I took two months at once though because I'm trying for twins. On cycle day 8 I started taking low dose aspirin and robitussin (the pure kind with only the Guanefesine), as well as folic acid and multiple vitamins which I had been taking for a couple of months. On cd 11 I also started taking evening primrose oil because apparantly that can help with cm as well. I didnt have any side effects while actually taking the meds, but a few days after it was done I was waking up with hot flashes in the middle of the night. That lasted until cd 10, and was manageable. I usually O very late in my cycles, and this cycle was no exception, I got a +OPK on CD 23, and for the first time actually felt myself ovulate, but with hot flashes, no cramping. That was the worst hot flash of the whole cycle, I was sweating like crazy for almost 20 minutes even though it was freezing cold in our bedroom! Now on cd 30 and still kind of holding out hope, but having absolutely no pregnancy symptoms so I'm preparing myself for another round. Expecting AF on cd 34/35, I might take a test in the next day or two but I dont know if I can handle another negative staring up at me from that little stick (trying for 9 months). The doctor who prescribed it for me is just my regular GP, and he's not monitoring me or anything. I asked him if he should be but he says its not really a huge worry in most cases, only with stronger fertility meds. He did say if by some small chance I have any symptoms of hyperstimulation I should call him ASAP though. Anyways, thats my story, baby dust to all and I'll be watching this thread closely to see who gets their wish!

So I'm 3dpo and I'm a nervous wreck. I'm hoping for some kind of sign...implantation bleeding, cramping...something, anything. I know that even if an egg was fertilized, it won't be implanted for another week or so. I'm going to take my first test on the 31st. This wait is the worst wait in the world isn't it? loolingforbabies: You have 3 days (minimum) before you can start testing. How are you handling the 2ww? I just started mine and DH and I are very anxious. Is this your first cycle? I O'd on cd 14 or 15 and am now on cd 18.

SoReady - May 24

Looking - Welcome! If you have been trying for 9 months then you might want to consider seeing an OB instead of just your GP. At least an OB will have more experience in this field. Taking clomid on cd1-5 tends to creat more eggs BUT the eggs usually dont mature enough when it id time to O. Being that you O'ed late (cd23), you might have a better chance then most who take clomid on those days because your eggs have had a little more time to grow. Good Luck! I have a 2 yr old and when i got prego with him, the only symptom that I had was a little bit of cramping but I thought that it was PMS related. So you still have a chance to get your BFP this cycle. The earliest that you could test is 10dpo so if you wait until you expect AF then that would be a good time to test. Good Luck to all the ladies in their 2ww! Baby Dust to All!!!

I'm trying hard not to get my hopes up, poor DH is starting to get stressed cause its just not working! Funny thing is, we already have a 2.5 year old boy who we conceived completely by accident and now with this one we just cant seem to make it work! so Ready - I'm going to see my GP next week to get a referral to an OB, I'm sick of the waiting game and think its time to be more aggressive in the trying. trying4twins - yes this is my first cycle with Clomid, I'm hoping I'm one of those lucky ones who gets the BFP the first try! The 2ww has pretty much killed me! I would just love to have a happy result or have an unpleasant result but be able to move on and start again, this limbo land sucks!

Looking - I could not help thinking back to when my Hubby and I were trying for our last child when I read your post. We tried for 3 years with 3 m/c before I lost it and when to my OB. It took us about a year for our first pg then M/C at 8 weeks, then 2 months later I was pregnant again and m.c at 6 weeks and again at 4 weeks. I finnaly got On clomid and after 2 rounds I was pregnant. During our trying times my husband use to get so upset. He said it was because my life turned into trying for a baby. Which it did. As you ladies know your days ate just counting for what comes next in your cycle. Looks like I am on CD 14. I started on day 11 with my OPK and still -. Started taking my mucinex last night. Now it is just the waiting game for O. On the good news I have found a perfect house and have started the long proccess of paper work for it. Maybe it will keep my mind off of the upcoming 2ww. If not I have got my Knitting supplies and I will be keeping my self busy that way.
