how is it going? I just got bacjk from vacation. The weather was outrageous! Next time I don't want to travel so long with family! That got a little crazy. So anything new happening. I am 18 weeks tomorrow and get my ultrasound next Thursday! I am so excited

To jb! - May 31

Hi! Nice to hear from you! I'm so glad you had a good time! 22 weeks...wow. How is the movement? Feeling lots, I bet. i'm 15.5 weeks now and go to see the OBGYN tomorrow! Too excited. I sure hope he books my u/s. i think I might freak out on him if he doesn't. I have been feeling movement everyday. Not at specific times, just once in a while. Mostly on the left, but sometimes on the right. My belly is expanding at an alarming rate. I'm definetly feeling pregnant now! Got my daughter's new big girl room painted on the weekend. Just flooring now and then we can move her and start on the nursery! (Which is pretty much done. Just have to move in furniture after a good cleaning). Talk soon! Erin

jb - May 31

I am 18 weeks not 22 silly! I am feeling a fair amount of movement. I was a little bit scared on our trip because I didn't feel as much but now that I am home I feel more rea__sured. I also hope they schedule you for an ultrasound. You are finding out what you are having right? We still haven't fully decided, I think if we do we aren't going to tell anyone but I will let you know for sure! How was the party with the free stuff?

Erin - May 31

Hi! Sorry. Don't know where 22 came from! Ya, we're going to find out what we're having. And we're going to tell people. To us, being surprised isn't the way we want things to go. We'd rather be able to be a bit prepared. Expecially with two. And, yes, you have to tell me!!!! The baby shower party was ok, I guess. It was a very small space with a ton of pregnant women and strollers. You can imagine. But, I won something. It was a fancy new fangled baby bathtub. It really looks just like a bucket. But it's calibrated so you can't overfill it and the baby has to sit so they can't slip and slide around...It's outside being used to hold all of Reegan's pool and sandbox toys....so at least we're getting some use out of it!! Anything new?

jb - May 31

It is good to be back on line chatting! That is so funny about the bathtub! At least you won something. I never win anything! I am just so excited to find out what we where having. I want to be able to starting placing names with the babies. I am sure you know what I mean. Do you have any hunches as to what you are having? I have just a gut feeling that there is a boy and a girl in there. but I will be really happy with anything!

Erin - May 31

Oh! I'm so glad you have a hunch, too! I have a gut feeling that I'm having fraternal boys. (Mainly from family history) but, I'll be happy with whatever, too. My daughter, on the other hand, will be VERY disappointed if there aren't two girls that we can name both Sally. Kids are funny.... So, I think we might head on down to the local hardware store and pick up a family size pool for the summer...it's pretty warm today. And, it doesn't show any signs of cooling down! We could use some rain, though. We;ve been thinking of names, too. We found a website where you can look up names and then add them to your list. Well, I bookmarked it and Adam and I can go in and save the names we like. If there are some that the other person has saved, but one of us doesn't like one, we can just delete it. That way, we don't hurt each others feelings and we can see what the other person likes! It'll be good so there will be less ha__sle when it comes to crunch time!

jb - June 1

I have been so busy this morning! No matter what we have we are going to be terribly happy! I would really like a little girl but I think it will be okay either way! That sounds like a great idea on the pool. We have a acre pond and I just bought Carson a small pool for him. It is finally getting nice here. I am looking forward to be putting our lawn in this week or weekend. That is a good idea about the names. I think Andy just wants to wait until we see what we are having and then go from there. I am getting a little nervous about not having a strong idea on names. I can really feel the movement today. I actually got sick this morning here at work! That is a first. I feel like it is going so fast this time and we are most likely going to go early. Did your Dr. say how early he thought you might go. Mine mentioned 2-4 weeks. I just don't want them to early because I only get 12 weeks off!

Erin - June 1

I don't know what I would do if I only got 12 weeks off! We get 12 months here! Is your leave paid? We get 55% of or wage for 12 months. Well, the dad can take some time too. It's devided between maternitiy leave and parental leave, but I'll be taking the whole 12 months...for sure. I went to school while I was pregnant with Reegan and that screwed up my mat leave so I was only able to take 7 months. So this time, it's all mine... Congrats on the movement. That's great! Feels nice, hey? The last time I talked to the doctor he told me my due date was Nov 26, but we're shooting for the first. Anything before that, I'll be at a hospital in Edmonton that has a NICU. Anything after that, I'll be able to deliver at the hospital that is 5 minutes away, and has nice big rooms. It's a great hospital. But, they don't have a NICU. The other hospital is only 15 minutes away, so if they have to be transferred, they won;t be that far away. I'm so excited to go to the doctor's today! Adam and Reegan are meeting me there! So, they'll be able to hear (at least one) heartbeat. As for the names, if you are finding out the s_xes, it might be wise to wait. I hope you ahve a little girl, too. Having a girl has been so fun. But, I never really did dress her in frilly stuff. That's just not me. So, I would be totally fine with at least one boy! You know, this may sound strange, but even though I've already heard one heartbeat, it's still not hitting home for me. I mean, I know I'm pregnant and I;m having babie(s), but it;s not realy yet. I NEED that ultrasound!!!! (With my luck, they'll schedule it for the week that Adam will be out of town.) But, I think today will be a big appointment. He'll be able to tell me what's going on by measuring my uterus. Yay! So, wish me luck. And, if your day calms down a bit, write back!!!!!

jb - June 1

I didn't know that you where going to the Dr. today! Good luck. Make sure that you ask if you can hear both of them! I am sure that they are going to book your ultrasound today. You are getting near that time. I am so excited myself to get mine next week. I will let you know how it goes. I really hope that you have a little boy also! They are so much fun, he is just the love of my life. I don't know what I would do without him. I am sure that you feel the same with Reegan. I brought Carson to my last ultrasound also so that he could hear the heartbeat. He thought it was pretty cool. 12 months off! I should just move up there! I can't believe it, I am so jealous you are very lucky. Are you scared at all about having 2? I have been starting to get a little freaked out. over my vacation I felt the babies move less and less but since I have been home they or at least one is moving like crazy. It just makes me laugh any time that I feel them. Speaking of the little devils. Now I just felt the other one! Oh what an experiance we are going through that only so few people will ever have! Good luck at the Dr. and keep me informed!

Erin - June 1

Ya! Today! I'm excited but nervous at the same time. I just need to see them... But, it's nice to hear that you are experiencing so much movement at 18 weeks. Gives me something to look forward to. How's the bathroom breaks going for ya? I am peeing all the time. Literally. It gives me an excuse to get up from my desk and walk around, though. I am going to make my doctor fill out my disability forms today, too. So, if I leave work when I plan, I will be off work for 17 months. Partially paid. Nice, hey? And with summer coming, I will be relaxed and I will be able to spend some quality time with Reegan... You go for an ultrasound next week? Aww. Poops. Lucky you. I bet those little ones are happy and healthy and big!!! I;m leaving in 2 hours or so, so if you write back and I don;t answer you, I will in the am and I'll let you know how things went. If I don;t write in the AM, that means I had a nasty outcome and stayed at home...in bed. No, that's not going to happen!!!!

jb - June 1

You are so lucky to be able to go on disability also! I am JEALOUS! Like I said good luck and the Dr's and I hope he schedules you for an u/s! Let me know in the morning how everything goes!

Erin - June 2

Hello! Well, my doctor's appt. was a waste of time. I sat there for half an hour, and all he did was listen for ONE heartbeat. (Which he found right away and it was very loud and strong) But, he didin't measure me or anything. I have gained 7 pounds in the past 4 weeks, and my bllod pressure is bang on perfect. But, I did get my u/s scheduled! I go for a 3D u/s on June 27th. And then my next appt is two days later. I did manage to talk to him about leaving work. Actually, I told him I was leaving. So, the nurse is filling out my form and I'll be picking it up today after work. So, I'm going to break the news on Monday. Woohoo! The doctor said he will measure me at my next appt. I feel a little cheated. I remember with my daughter, my doctor measured me at every appt after the first one. So, I don't know what's up with this guy...But my daughter is really excited that I'm going to be home in a short while. She says to me every morning, "Don't go to work Mommy. I love you and I want you to take me to the park..." Breaks my heart. Soon, little girl. Soon. So, now I wait another 3 and a half weeks. But, that's not bad. I thought he might have waited until my 20th week. So, at the end of June, I have a pretty busy week! How are you?

jb - June 2

I can't believe that he only listened for 1 heart beat! I would feel cheated also. You know when I go in also, my Dr. checks the heartbeat but never tells me what it is. I like knowing these things. It probably isn't a big deal to them because they do this stuff everyday. I am hoping next week when I go in I will be getting a 3D also! I think that they are so cool! That is awesome that you are going to be done with work soon! I wish I was you. Actually in the summer it is pretty nice here. I get a lot of time off or half days so that works out pretty nice. I will be off tomorrow and next week I am only working 1-5:30 everyday because Carson is going to vacation bible school that week and I want to be there to bring him. I know what you mean about them telling you that they want you to stay home. Carson sat in front of Aunt Mary's door this morning whinning about me going. Sometime I wish I could be like okay I won't. The kids have settled down a bit last night. When you where pregnant with Reegan would she let your husband feel the outside? Carson didn't until I was further along. These 2 seemed to be the same way. It is kind of funny! Have a good day at work today!

Erin - June 2

Hi. Ya, I don't know what's up with this doctor...but soon enough it'll be over and I can go back to my regular doctor. As for my pregnancy with Reegan, she was born on Sept.29. On Sept 1, we went to a wedding. I grabbed Adam;s hand and put it on my belly. Reegan gave him a huge kick and knocked his hand right off! And that, my dear, was the first and only time he ever felt her move while she was in there. So, ya she had a bit of stage fright with daddy.... It's nice that your work schedule is so flexible, though, hey? At least you have freedom to move. I can't wait until June 30th. It is going to be a really nice summer here and I have so many things I can do!!! Adam went and bought the casings for Reegan's new room yesterday. So, in my mind, her new room should be ready to move into by the third week of June. Adam has to put the casings up, lay the flooring and pput up the blind. Then, all the little things, I can finish after she's moved in. I;m going to get her some cute shears for the wondow and put a beaded curtain on her closet instead of doors. She'll love it! I just hope she doesn't try to take the beads apart!

jb - June 2

her room sounds so adoreable! So what is difference with the Dr you have now and the one you are getting later? is he maybe a specialist? I just have the same Dr. the whole time. This is going to be so neat that we are going to know this month what we are both having! I can't wait until next Thursday, just one more week!

Erin - June 2

Ya, one more week! Woohoo for you! Well, my regular doctor is a GP. When I was pregnanct with Reegan I saw her until my 30th week. Then I saw her partner, who is a OB, and the OB delivered. Now, with this pregnancy, I can't see either of those ladies because neither of them deal with multiple pregnancies. That's why I have to see this goof. I'm sure there are more specialists in the city, but I'm not going to bother changing doctors. He knows what he's doing and, really, he's just doing what's medically necessary. These babies are very active today....Must be the spicy pizza I'm eating! And when I said I get to see my regular doctor later, I meant after the birth for our regular care... As for the birth, I don't really have a prefernce as to who delivers. It's me, hubby and the nurses who really make the experience. With my daughter,my doctor came in right when I was ready to push and left immiediatly after my placenta was delivered. I'm just going to take labour as it comes. And ya, I'm really excited to find out the s_xes!!!!

jb - June 2

Sorry there was a dilema here at work so I don't have much time. Now I understand where you are coming from with the Dr's. When I asked my Dr. he said that he has delivered quite a few sets of twins. So that made me feel good. Take care and have a good weekend I will be back in on Monday at 1 p.m.
