TWINS IN THE WAY WITH CLOMID??? ANYONE??

I took clomid 100 mg (3-7) and got twins!

how often does it happen? lol for me TWICE. once where there was a real good risk (lots of eggs, but we were stupid), we had a vanishing twin, and once where they stuck and now i have twins, but only 'supposedly' had one viable egg and one unviable one, so the twin thing wasn't a risk, or so they said, haha now, lol. i'd say it's higher then 10% when you have two or more eggs. monitoring is essential, so you know what you are dealing with. 50 or 100 mg it didn't matter, some months i'd have 5 and not get pregnant and some months would get only 1, it made no rhyme or reason, it varied by month, but usually the higher dose would give you more. i played it safer with 50 and ended up w/ twins anyhow.

I was having problems with my cycle and now that my doctor helped me get that straight I'm taking clomid. I took 50mg on days 3 to 7. I'm supposed to start my cycle on January 2, I'm so nervous and excited at the same time.What are ther chances of me getting prego on my frist dose of clomid?

most women get pregnant on their first 3 cycles of clomid, with the 2nd cycle being highest. but a lot of women are successful on the 1st. i hope this is ur month

I'm 41 and started my first cycle of Clomid 50mg on days 5-10 this month. My period is due Jan 2nd also Bittney. I have been trying to keep my mind off my status. I saw my doc on the 21st and he did t/v ultrasound and things looked good (mature egg) right side. I've decided I am going to have to test before New Year's Eve.

I'm 38yo and took my first round of clomd 100mg in December on days 1-5. I got a BFP at 15dpo on 12/31. I am due 9/8/10 and hope it's twins! Happy New Year!

I'm 38yo and DH 40. I did my first round of clomid 100mg on days 1-5 in December. The only side effects were hot flashes and since I took the clomid at night it wasn't too bad. I got a BFP on 15dpo!!!! Due date is 9/8/10!! I really hope it's twins! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Hej Monkey8, I'm really curious how it is going for you. I started 2 days ago with clomid 100mg. That was my first day of my period. So i'm also taking clomid on day 1 till 5, as you did. Hope you get twins!

MarieFleur, I am doing good and just waiting for referral to OB to go through. Hopefully I will have appt by end of month. Any side effects with the clomid yet?

Hi there everyone I am very interested in finding out how many woman who have fraternal twins in the family (my mom is one) and who are on clomid actually conceive twins.

I will, hopefully, if it gets here in time, be taking 50mg, days 3-7.. Prob. around feb. 7th ish.. I am extremely extremely fertile, and 25 yrs old. I have a 7m old, 2 yr old, 3 yr old and 4 yr old right now.. I really want twins or more. We will see what happens! I might get quads knowing my luck.. We just closed on our 5 bdr house! just in time lol.. My step mom cant have kids, so I have tons and tons of help.. I am excited about it. these will be my last babies! Hello, I am new to this discussion board. I am 31 years old and have been diagnosed with PCOS. I conceived my fraternal (b/g) twins after during my 7th month of Clomid. They are now 6 years old. I've decided I want another baby and am going to start clomid again. I am hoping to start my period any time, but with PCOS I rarely get one on my own. My doctor told me to take a pg test on Feb 1 if I haven't started my period and, if negative, he gave me a meds to start my period, then I'll begin Clomid days 5-9 of my cycle. I am really hoping I don't have another set of twins, but if it happens, it happens. Good luck to all.

Oh, I forgot to mention, there are twins in my father's side of the family as well. My great-grandmother had twins, as did my grandmother. It skipped my dad's generation and hit me. Not sure if it is in my genes, or the Clomid, or a combination of both. :)

hello girls, I just started Clomid 50mg, from days 5, taking also my prenat vit, and I am waiting for my ovulation to take Prometrium. Wish me good luck for twins, my dr noticed to me that I have multiple follicles...

hi everyone, me and my husband have been trying for 3 and a half years. we have been together for almost 7 years. we have a 3 year old boy but took us 2 years to catch with him. i have never used any birth control well with my husband. we went to the a doctor after a year of my son being born as we started try for another child as soon as we could and nothing. the doctor refered us to a gcg and they didnt seem like they new what they were doing to be honest and we were messed about for a year i got very very up set and have had angziaty ever since. i then went back to my docs after being messed around for a year the only good thing that came out of it was that we found out that my husband has low sperm count but very strong and very good mobilaty but we only found this out from my doc after all that messing about. my doc then ref us to a fertilaty clinic and after 2 years of waiting for appointment i am now waiting to go back and they are going to start me on clomid. has anyone else beeen put on clomid and any sucsess? i would love to have twins but dont think my chances of even getting pregnant again may be possable after my doctor said my son was a miracle. can any body help with anwsers? this last 3 years have been so hard and i just want to compleate my family. thanks
