Candice, that is wonderful, they are getting big, that is so great. At this point I dont think you need to worry about twin to twin transfusion any more, and you are trully blessed to have so much help. I didn't have any. My mom worked so did everyone else I knew and at the time my boys were born my husband was unable to get time off of work. So it was me alone all day with newborn twins and a 2 year old. So you are lucky. I had all of kids in the middle of winter which I guess worked out good so I wouldnt have to go anywhere or take them anywhere untill they were older. But I just found out yesterday that I am pregnant again and this one (or these) LOL will be born in the summer and CB those names are so cute for girls. I named my boys Victor Manuel, and Vincent Alexander. I hope I have a girl this time, after 3 boys I really want one now and if it is I would probably name her Alyssa or alexandria, not sure yet, well enough about me, Ladies take care of your selves.

Sounds like everyone is doing well! Sorry,cb, that you have to go through your summer pregnant with twins! I feel for you. I lived in Florida when I was pregnant with my son- and it was a long summer that year! I am doing well, I have been given some rea__surance from the doctors that the babies are fine, just smaller than normal. Nothing to worry about at the moment, just watch their growth over the next 3 weeks and see how they do.

Hi Michelle, it was good to hear from you again, glad that things are going good, its good to hear the doctor say good things!!! I am so happy today, and cant wait to see my partner, I felt one of the babies moving from the outside, it was so awsome, I almost forgot what it felt like!! I thought I wouldnt be able to feel them from the outside for another couple of weeks, as Im only 15+2 weeks!!! Talk soon, take care **

Good Evening Ladies! Hi CB. I love those names they are so cute. We have had one named picked since before we were even pregnant. Veronica Jane after my husbands father who pa__sed away 6 years ago. If we had a boy it would have been Ronald, but since we only have girls that is the feminine version. We will call her Ronnie though. Had a tough time choosing another one but my daughters actually thought of Brittney and my husband loved it so Veronica Jane and Brittney Marie. The middle names are after their grandmas. How have you been feeling? MELANIE, Congratulation. That is exciting news. I was wondering after having twins what the percentage is of having twins again. You were very brave bringing those new babies home all by yourself. Good for you! You sound like you did and are doing a great job. How far along are you now? MICHELLE, that is good to hear that your DR gave you some rea__surance. Hang in there and stay strong. Have a great night girls!

Hello ladies. Michelle dont stress oevr it, If your Dr, gave you rea__surance then dont worry about it. all babys vary in size, Most babys pick up most of their weight twoards the very end of pregnancy. Candice I dont really know the percentage or the odds of having twins again but I would be completly shocked if it happend again. I was told by my doctor that it could happen again but identicals happen by chance and are not herreditary so only time willl tell if it happened again. I am only about 5 wks, and have my first appt on the 13th, so I dont actually know when I will get my first ultrasound to find out how many there are this time. When I told everyone I was pregnant again they were like " How many are you having this time?" It's like they expect it again, but only time will tell. Well Ladies hang in there, only a little while longer to go. Just think of this way, this time next year, your babies will already a few months old. Its funny because I am only 5 wks and this time next year my baby would be 4 months old. So you guys hang in there.

iam 7 weeks had ultrasound babies in same sack dont know if thats same thing?

Michelle, I was told that at my 15 week u/s. That condition is VERY rare- its called monoamniotic twins. It is more likely than not that you were misdiagnosed. Please do not stress about it like I did for an entire month until I had my level 2 u/s which showed the membrane between the 2 babies. It is very likely that you are like us, and your twins share the outer sac and maybe the placenta, which is very common with identical twins. Please keep us posted on what you find out at your next u/s, but at 7 wks- it is such a huge chance that they just didn't see the membrane! Michelle

Good Afternoon Ladies! I am slowly getting everything ready for these two little girls. It won't be long now I am 34 wks. My OB said average delivery is 36 wks. If I go over 36 wks he said we may talk about inducing. I would rather this. Especially with my two other girls at home. It would be very predictable and we could have everything in order. MICHELLE did you go into labour on your own? With my other 2 daughters I was induced. TO michelle I was also misdiagnosed with monoamniotic twins. There is no point in stressing, usually that early on everything is so small they can't see the dividing membrane. I had my 1st US at 12 wks and they couldn't see it then, not unitl I went for my 20 wk US did they discover it. Congratulations on twins, that is wonderful! Let us know how the pregnancy progresses! Talk to everyone later, have a good weekend! It is raining here today so I am going to get some work done in the house!

Michelle - October 1

Candice, Were you asking me if I delivered on my own? I haven't delivered my twins yet- sorry if I'm confused. I did deliver my son on my own- wasn't induced. My ob told me that he would induce at 38 weeks this time if I don't go on my own, but that was before we knew that the babies weren't growing as fast as they should. So I may be induced early, depending on how the babies growth goes. Michelle

Hi girls!!! welcome michelle, I was missdiognosed monoamniotic twins at 8 weeks, at my 12 week scan they found a membrane, a great site that I found helpfull was, monoamniotic.org but you being told so early, you probably was misdiognosed too!!! And Candice, I think you meant to ask Melanie is she went into labour on her own!! :)) Those names are cute, that you have picked, little drama with mine!! My partner likes Jazlyn, but doesnt really like Jaedyn!!! But I still have to wait and see if they are girls, before we start fighting about names!!! They might just be boys yet :) Everything is going well here, getting warm though! Was going to go swimming today, but got into some housework instead!!! Take care and talk soon!! michelle, I really suggest that you have a look at that web site, it is great for knowing what you may be expecting!!! C-ya!!!

melanie - October 2

I too was misdagnosed, but it was to early to tell, they cant see the membrane untill later on, but theywill still tell you and misdiagnose you and make you worry, but the truth it they cant really see it so they have to say what they see. I wouldnt worry about it unless way later on they still dont see one. I did go into labor on my own on the day I hit exactly 38 wks, I woke up and my water broke, then 4 hours later I had my boys, they were 45 minutes apart, so if the second one doesnt come out right away when you guys are in labor remember me and remember that not always will the second one come out right away

Candice - October 2

Hi Everyone. Yes sorry I meant to ask Melanie if she had delivered on her own. My OB said that he will not allow me to go over 38 wks as well. I just keep counting down the days. It seems like I have been pregnant forever, the 4 weeks left ahead seem like eternity. I guess I have waited 34 already what is another 4. CB You sound like you are doing great. I was lucky this year our Summer here wasn't nearly as hot as usual. It will be tough to get around on those scorching days. Do you have someplace cool you can go and relax? Melanie did you have to have an epidural with your delivery? My OB said he reccomends it. I still don't really know what to expect on delivery day you can probably help me out. Once your first boy was born did you go right back into labour or were you able to start pushing right away to deliver the second one? It is awsome having someone who has been there and doesn't mind sharing. Thank-You. Just wondering too, have any of you looked in to twin and triplet clubs around your area? I found one in the city I live near but they are shutting down this year because of lack of interest. I did however hit their annual sale and found some great deals. Have a good night. BYE!

Candice, when I went into labour I had my first baby, then my contractions stopped and my Dr. didnt want that to happen so she gave me some pitocin to start up the contractions again. I pushed for 35 minutes and then my babys heart rate started to drop because he didnt want to come out, so they had to use a vacuum on him, it did not hurt him and he came out fine, I guess he was comfortable where he was, LOL and they had to make him come out. If you can after you have had them try to get a look at your placenta, Mine was as big as one of my boys, (it was huge) well if you have anymore question feel free to ask, My e-mail is melaniegonzalez2004@yahoo.com if anyone wants to e-mail me sometime.

hello!!! Did you guys feel so drained so early in your pregnancy? Today I have just felt so so tired, no energy to move, and I have had a headache nearly all day!!! Candice, I am moving back in with my partner in a few more weeks, which I cant wait, as the whole house up there is air-conditioned!!! Which will be nice a relaxing for both me and my son!!! The only disadvantage about living there is that it is about a half hour drive into town, so its an extra half hour to the hospital that I go to!!! (now makes it 2 hours)!!! Well Im going to lay back down again!! Take care girls :))

Candi - October 3

Hello ladies I've read most of your posts and they've been pretty informative. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and found out I was having twins that share a sac and placenta and they only saw one yolk. Could I still have been misdiagnosed? Thanks in advance.

Michelle - October 3

cb- I was so tired for what seemed like forever! But, it went away by the 15 or 16 week. I'm still not up to doing marathons, but I'm not so tired that I don't know how I'll finish the work day anymore! Candi- I don't know what the yolk sac is, I've heard others mentioning it. But, only being 10 weeks, they could still find that your babies are in separate amniotic sacs. If they are sharing a placenta, I believe that means they share the outer sac (chorionic sac). This is what I have. This is the most common way identical twins are (about 72% of the time) monoamniotc (sharing both the outer and inner sac as well as the placenta) only happens about 3% of the time. The "normal" twins, with their own outer sac, inner sac, and placenta, only happens about 25% of the time. (or so I've read!) Michelle edd 1/20/06 b/b twins
