Non Prescription Clomid Debate

I am shocked at the hideous behavior of some of the women on this site. I understand that there is a huge debate about unprescribed Clomid. If you disagree, state your case and then move on. Most of these ladies have made up their minds and are not listening so if you just give your medical information then you can know that you've done your duty to protect those on the fence. What I am shocked by is how cruel some women are being. On one thread one woman wished cervical cancer on a non-Rx Clomid user. My God, what kind of person are you?? At least most of the other women against seem genuinely concerned about the well-being of the women and their potential babies. To wish something as dreadful as cancer on someone is simply repulsive. I sincerely hope that whoever you are, you regretted what you presumably said in the heat of the moment. Please, whatever your opinion, treat each other with respect.

Yes Michelle, some times it gets out of hand. However, to address your "make your statement and move on" request.... well that defeats the purpose of a discussion board, doesn't it? I mean, new people search every day.. look for information every day. AND, no matter what your choice on the unprescribed Clomid issue, it is only right that these people know the REAL truth concerning it. What shocks me is the wanton advertisment of an illegal activity... the ENCOURAGEMENT of an illegal and DANGEROUS activity. How irresponsible is that? Do what you're going to do, but WHY would you encourage others to break the law, put THEIR children at risk, etc? It really makes no sense. No one would have ANY issue with any of these discussions if it was just discussed as Clomid use... not unprescribed Clomid use. At least pretend that your doctor approves. Look on the teen board... read through, and see how many teens you can count that want babies so that they can fulfill some empty part in their lives. How many can you count that would LOVE the "attention" they think having twins, etc. would bring? Now, what if one of those girls reads something on this board? All these ladies advertising how to get pregnant with multiples using this drug... and look, here's where you can buy it without your doctor knowing! I mean, do you HONESTLY think the majority of the women ( or girls) on this board are really educated on the subject? I mean, REALLY? Had their labs done? Really researched THEIR risks? And here you ( a genral term) are, encouraging them, because you think they MUST be responsible adults making an informed decision. Please. We have a responsability as a society, and on this board, we are failing that responsability miserably. So no, I won't go away.

No, I don't think that the many of the women know the risks but they have been mentioned ad nauseam on these threads. Perhaps I wrongly a__sume that they read the posts already on the thread. The same things keep getting said over and over. I am not here to debate the merits of arguing though. I am really just disturbed by the meanness and specifically the cancer comment. I never said anything encouraging anyone. I have commented on items that were contradictory to what my RE said and I have encouraged women to be less mean. FYI - I was on prescribed Clomid even though I ovulate regularly (to thicken my uterine lining) and conceived a singleton, just like my RE a__sured me.

My first child was conceived using RX Clomid, so I'm not against the use, just the illegal, irresponsable use.

Whatever - November 3

I said it and I'm not concerned about the health of the women, they deserve whatever health problems they get. What I am concerned about are the children. And no I won't move it, so give it up.

Michelle, I was quite shocked that someone could actually state that they "can't wait until they get cervical cancer" I wouldn't wish cancer on my worst enemy! Why can't these type of people voice their opinion in a positive light and with no back lash against someone else. Do they really beleive that women reading these threads wouldlisten to such horrid comments? I think not, infact, I think they would be quick to discredit what they say. I sure did!

to whatever---------- - November 3

You dont care about the health of the mother...the mothers health has alot to do with the babies health.

Whatever - November 3

Duh, I'm not hoping they get cancer while they're pregnant (if that even happens) but later on in life. And if they happen to have children, then their children will be better off not to have such a selfish, irresponsible mother like these women. They act like the love children when in reality they don't. Selfish, selfish, selfish. I'm sure the "pains" they are feeling aren't pregnancy pains but cancer growing inside them. And I know their not going to listen to anyone because, of course, they know it all. What fools. Whatever.

To Whatever - November 3

You are so cruel and not helping matters!

mama-beans - November 3

"Whatever" writes like a young person... so maybe just move on.. These type of comment are common over on the teens board, and I have a feeling whatever migrated over from there. It is a lost cause, ladies.

So true - November 3

good point mama-beans
