Pregnant Through Clomid

I got pregnant on my first round of clomid, but I miscarried. Is there a higher risk of miscarriage with clomid? It seems there are a lot of you with the same situation. I am scared to miscarry again.

Hi everyone, a quick thank you for sharing all of your stories. They have helped me through a tough time. I am 30 years old and it took me 7 mo. to get pregnant the first time. Actually, I got pregnant while going through infertility tests(my cycles are irregular so the dr. tested us to make sure we were ok to get pg) I lost my baby when I was 8 weeks. I am now on my third month of trying again, and although we conceived naturally, my doctor has suggested clomid to help us along. I have recently read that taking clomid can give you a false reading on monitors if taken too soon after stopping the clomid dose?? Does anyone have any experinece with this? I have been using a clear blue easy monitor(pricey, I know, but at this point I don't care!)

I am into 5th week of pregnancy ie, third week from conception. Am continuously experiencing abdominal pain which subsides after some time. Is this normal? Will I miscarry? Have had two normal kids, and a third miscarriage before this.

This is my third month of clomid and I am pretty sure I ovulated this month. then dr. is going to check my tubes for blockage. It's so frustrating.

Hi, I took clomid as well and now I am pregnant with twins. I had a little cramping at first but not "stabbing" pain. If you are in lots of pain I would call your MD.

I am on my first round of clomid after TTC for a year and a half. THe emotional roller coaster has been a real experience. Infertility is really difficult to deal with, as you all know. I'm having trouble finding people who really truly understand that. It was nice reading all your clomid success stories. I am taking it for LPD. Has anyone else had this defect?

I have the same situation, clomid for the first month then pregnant, feel the same thing, but doctor said pain in abdomen or little presure is normal cause uterus is stretching

Someone had said they experienced early signs & thought was false hope. this is my third month of clomid & I have felt that way each month. My b___sts get sore about 10 days before my period & I think it could be early signs. Although when they begin to get sore I feel down for the next ten days & wait to start all over again. If it doesn't work this month then dr. is going to run dye in my tubes. we'll see. everyone hang in there.

Leslie, I am on my first round of Clomid 100mg, but my doctor warned me that if this doesn't work, even with higher dosages, he will run the dye in my tubes, as well. I will be more than willing to do what it takes to start my family. However, with the Clomid, I do worry about the higher risks of multiple births and MisCarriages. Anyone here have twins as a result of Clomid?

Leslie - June 7

My Dr. told me the chance of twins doubles with clomid. The normal chance of having twins is 2-4% & on clomid it would be 4-8%, or so that's what he says. I too am willing to do whatever it takes. It's just hard when all of ours friends are having children this year.

Angie - June 7

Leslie, don't worry about it... Our time will come. Getting pregnant shouldn't be this stressful, especially when others become pregnant unintentionally. But like my husband says, Our Child will know we worked hard to give him life. He's not just going to come to us... we have to go and get him. Let me know "WHEN" your time comes. And... LoTs-A-LucK! Ps... The Odds of Twins doesn't seem so high, but really... It Is! Oh well, 2 is better than 0.

Leslie - June 8

Angie - funny you should say that about what your husband said, mine said the same thing. Good luck to you to.

Angie - June 8

Hey Leslie, I've had a couple days to think about it... and I say "bring on the twins". I'm not as scared of getting pregnant with twins as I was. I'm comfortable with having one or two.. I'm not comfortable with having Zero. Three, uhm... okay, but please... "NO". Let me know how your journey is going.

I started on Clomid 50mg days 3-7 just this month, my progesterone was low, so I had an Ovidrel shot. Has anyone ever gone through these steps and conceived in that cycle?
