Hi I am 25 and just started taking Clomid. I am on day 4 am also on metaphormin too. I have a 2 1/2 yr old boy. I have pcos for years now and have been trying for 6 mos now to get pregnant with my second(my first I had not taken any drugs) I am also worried about miscarriages, is this a high sideaffect. Emmygyrle, my cycle is about 6 days longer on Clomid. It is a normal side effect. However, when you are so in tune to your body, it is enough to make you CRAZY isn't it?! Katie, everything I have read says Clomid does not cause you to m/c. The reason the numbers appear high is because women on Clomid are so aware of their cycles. For the rest of the world, about 40% of miscarriages go unknown. We would never not know!!

Well, we have been relentlessly trying this week. We have ttc every single day for two weeks. I dont expect my period until Dec 3. However, this is my first month on clomid, so will my cycle be longer and if it is, does it mean i ovulated a week later than I thought?

Talia, my dr. says that you should ttc every other day. It gives your husband's sperm a chance to build. I have been tring for a year with no sucess and I ust finshed my first 5 day cycle of clomid. I was wondering if anyone knows if clomid gives false positive results on a preg. test. It has happened to me before and although I did not miscarry physically the emotional rollercoaster was pretty extreme.

Sara, thanks for the info. My husband is used to having s_x alot more often than every other day but Im gonna have to tell him we have to spread it out. As for your question, I have never heard of anyone having false positives from clomid. I have had a miscarriage and can feel your pain of how horrible it feels to tell everyone you arent pregnant anymore. I felt like such a liar, like I had let everyone down. But, my angel is in heaven now, and I know God can do a lot better job raising her than me.

I just verified that every other day is what works best though research on the web. Thanks for answering so quickly. I also got pregnancy test for 90 cents by searching for early pregnancy test. I have a 2 year old and used them before. You can not beat the price. But do not become a compulsive test taker like me. It only ends in heart ache and stress.

I am a c_mpulsive test taker. I take them in the mornings, at night, everytime I pee. The anxiety kills me. With my first pregnancy, I took about 23 tests before it actually came out as positive, and that was when I was ten days late.

Hi everyone :) I took my last cd pill today and just waiting till I ovulate... I go for a blood test on the 6 of december, so we will see. I also wondered, if anyone else that is taking clomid and metaphormine together has lost some weight. I have.. just wondering? God bless you all

I am 21 and have been taking clomid for only once cycle and i took a home preg. test last wednesday and it confirmed i am preg. and i am also having pains!! Is this normal?

tessa i also just finished clomid my first round i had + test today also m haing loer abdominal cramping this is not my 1st but cramping before was later so i was wondering the same thing if anyone could let me know if they had cramping also it would top my woring so much thank you all and never give up it took us 2 yrs and one month on clomid did the job we hope dr on the 8th to find out for sure

It is normal to have mild cramping with no bloody show you should not have a problem. I had such bad cramping with my son that it actually felt good when I gave birth the pain was finally gone. Just hang in there. The more you think about it the worst it gets.

Sara, I also went to the website and bought like 7 preg tests for $15 all together. Now, I just have to wait until next week to see if all the bd (ing) and clomid worked. I hope so. Ill keep everyone updated.

Tessa, congrats!! I love your name I've always wanted to name a baby girl by that name. You said this was you're first cycle? How many miligrams were you one? Have you had problems berfore getting preg? Let me know, I would love a response.... Haven't gotten to much feedback. Have a good THANKSGIVING :)...
