Here is my history of twins. iam a twin, my father a twin my grandfather a triplet and my greatgrand father quads. And i had two kids (singleton) now iam on my third pregnancy, with my dates of periods i should be about 7 weeks pregnant. LMP 28july. And i think i am huge already, i can barely fit in my jeans...well...i could but i get too sore cause its too tight. What are the chances that i could be pregnant with twnins. And other question.....have any of you with twin pregnancy gone without nausea...or just had very very mild nausea???? And how did you look and feel by 7-8weeks??? thanks i would very much like to get alot of response...lol it could also be someone that you know

Hi Karine, from what I know only fraternal twins run in families, Identical twins are a freak thing that is random. So, if the twins and multis in your fam are fraternal than you are more likely to be carrying twins(or more). I was not any more sick with this twin pregnancy than I was with either of my singletons. I did not suspect twins with this preg. because I wasn't very big even at 16-18 weeks. One better way to tell if you might be carrying twins is to lay on your back and feel for the top of your uterus. If it is already 9-10 inches into your abdomen than it is bigger than it should be at 7-8 weeks with a singleton. Hope that helps, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Oh- I almost forgot, this is your third pregnancy? It is said that with each successive pregnancy a woman will start to show sooner, could just be that.

By 7-8 weeks pregnant I was most defintiely showing and was sicker than I have ever been in pregnancy. I just figured I was showing early since it was my 4th pregnancy and as for the sickness goes, well each pregnancy is different and I am not any younger that's for sure. Not once did I suspect twins!! They do not run in the family and we were not trying to conceive. My twins were diagnosed at 11wks/6days. I am now 22 weeks, feel much better and they are boys! I have two friends that are identical twins. They have maternal identical twin aunts and identical twin cousins. It does run in families.
