could someone tell me if there is way to induce ovulation with out the trigger shot?

Shawna- what about clomid. I'm not sure what a "trigger shot" is. I know people who have used clomid because of PCOS and have concieved.

I am on clomid for PCOS, but I was wondering if I could induce the ovulation without taking the HCg trigger shot at the docs ?

hey ladies, I tried posting while on vacation and it wouldn't work at all. I am back home now. Hailey- Yea, usually its about 6 weeks to pick up a flicker and 7 weeks to pick up an actual HR. At 5 weeks 6 days from ovulation we did see the gestational sac, fetal pole, yolk sac and a heart flicker. My HCG that day was just over 40,000. At 7 weeks 5 days the heartbeat was at 166 bpm. So, hang in there.... it sounds to me that everything will be fine and I'll pray for you!!! Jessica- we just found out we're having a baby boy. He wasn't shy about it at all. lol.... Email me and I'll send you the 3D/4D pics of him at 19 weeks. I couldn't believe how developed he is for being just about half way. I'm pretty sure you still have my email, but if not, its "jarhead4me2@aol.com" :) Hope all had a great Christmas!!!

Congratulations Daniella on having a boy. You must be very excited. I am 7 weeks and 3 days today and I have my ultrasound tomorrow at 2:00pm. I am very nervous. I have been sick the last 1 1/2 weeks. I am nauseated 24-7. The only way I can alleviate it somewhat is by munching on food. It is very difficult when I work nights. The room spins when I try to sleep. It almost feels like I have the flu. I hope it doesn't last the whole 9 months. I wish you all luck with your pregnancies.

Hailey- email me and I'll send you my 7W5D ultrasound, since you are just about that tomorrow, it should look identical. Also, you will hear the heartbeat loud and clear on the ultrasound doppler. Its amazing!! The word you will use for your baby tomorrow is "shrimp". lol... at 7.5 weeks, you can still see the tail and it looks like a little shrimp in there. lol. Goodluck!! I bet your so very excited. :) Also, your nausea should start subsiding here in a few weeks. Mine stopped at about 10 weeks. I never really ever got sick, except the couple times I took my prenatals with water instead of milk.. but other than that, I was just nauseous a lot and a lot at night when going to bed.

UPDATE: I had my ultrasound today and everything looks good. The baby had had a HR of 156. I am so relieved that it went well. I'm not sure why my obs nurse told me that this can't be a normal pregnancy and that it is most likely molar. I don't think she should say those things based on only HCG results. Thanks ladies for all your comments. It has defintely got me through the last 2 weeks. Daniella, Sorry I didn't see your comment until now. It does look like a "shrimp" LOL

Hailey- thats wonderful!!! Hey, you should have shown the u/s pic to the nurse to throw it in her face, hehe.. j/k.. Yea, she should have kept her mouth shut. You honestly cant go by HCG to determine anything, unless you have 2 labs taken and they don't double (meaning its not going to make it) or they double WAY too much, far more than you'd see even for twins (meaning molar).... but, you have to have the u/s along with the HCG to have a clear idea. Yours sounded great to me, and even though I am in the med. field, I am not an OB nurse. lol... maybe you should tell the dr. that a nurse shouldn't ever give her 2 cents to a patient like that. The most a nurse should say is "you need to talk to your dr. about that". Anyhow, congrats!! I had complete faith for you!!! :) how wonderful!!!

Hi all - I was taking Clomid first month and had a postive hpt with high hcg (almost 15000 - really high). 2days later it is 14000. I should be somewhere at 4 wks. My doctor says I will miscarry and I do know my ovaries overeacted to the clomid (many eggs - 6). Do you think there can be a mistake by the doctor and this pregnacy might be viable? I have no af and sore bbs.

You should be able to see something in the uterus once your HCG hits 2000 regardless how far you are. So, just have to wait on the ultrasound. Patience sucks, but its a virtue. In the meantime, just try to take care of yourself. You just never know! Goodluck

The first one was 37,936 and the second was 53,029..Are these high? they said that I could either be further along or have twins is that possible?
