Don't worry you are not alone! As you can see from all these responses. I am also 6 weeks pregnant although I wouldn't know it if it wasn't for 2 home pregnancy tests positive. I do kinda feel a little awkward in the belly region, like I can feel something is happening when I roll over in bed and stuff. But other than maybe having to pee a little more frequently, and the occasional cramp or pain, I have no symptoms. My b___bs aren't any bigger or sore. Or so my fiance tells me. and I have absolutely no nausea. I know I should probably be thankful that I don't, it kinda worries me. I got pregnant when I was 17 and I had ridiculous sickness. I ended up having an abortion and waiting to have this one. I guess I will find out everything when I go to the doctors.

Do you guys count from the first day of your last period or the actual DAY you got pregnant? That's why you are supposed to count from the 1st day of your last period because you don't normally know EXACTLY the day you ot pregnant. So That's why you count in the extra 2 weeks before the day you got pregnant. So when you say you are 2 months pregnant, the baby is only 6 weeks old. Not 8 weeks because you weren't pregnant the first 2 because one week was your period, the other week was nothing. GET IT?!

When you yourself are 8 weeks pregnant, the fetus is at the 6 week stage. Because it's not possible to get pregnant at the first 2 weeks of your menstrual cycle because you are not ovulating at that time. So when the baby is at it's 6 week stage, you are 8 weeks pregnant(2 months) because you still count the first 2 weeks in!

yes i do count from the first day of my period i know your not acturally pregnant at that time but thats how the doctors count so i count from first day of period but u was saying 6 weeks is 2 months i say 8 weeks is 2 months if you dont count from your last period you dont really no when your pregnant so its easier to count from last period

-- - October 1

so if your saying 6 weeks is 2 months what i dont understand is theres 28 days in a month and 31 in some but if ur still counting from ur last period how can 6 weeks still mean 2 months is what i dont understand

gemma - October 1

ok we all know there r 28 and more days in most months but in pregnancy u just count 4 weeks as one month and 8 weeks as 2 months when u r 2 months pregnant ya baby is only around 6 weeks old, but we go by the first day of ya last period because ya cant pin point the day of ovulation. i dont blame n e one for not coming back to this site this topic has gone on long enough. is n e one having a c section.

Exactly, you count each week as 7 days no matter how many days are in each month. So when the baby is at it's 6 week stage, you are 8 weeks pregnant. Right?!

I'm so happy to hear that I am not the only one with a belly at 6 weeks pregnant!! This is my second child and I have been told that it is normal to show a lot sooner with your second but this is crazy!!!

I am 6 weeks pregnant, my son is 1 years old and I've had a miscarriage before and after my son.I would like to say that although it could genuinely be a by-product of pregancy, showing this early and having pants not fit before at least 8 or 9 weeks is probably more likely bowel dissention and bloating due to gas from your expanding uterus. I am also showing very early however as a medical proffessional I know this is most likely because I am pregnant so soon after my son and all the other things I've listed. Also the more pregnancies or the closer together the earlier you will show. Oh yeah and 2 months is a 9 weeks. Doctors count from your last period because your body prepares for pregnancy for two months thickening the lining of the uterus and when conception occurs it just continues on in thickening and implantation thats why you don't count from conception.

gemma, I had an emergency c-section with my son and I will be having a scheduled c- section this time. My son was 10 pounds and they would have had to break his shoulder to deliver so after 27 hours of labour and him fully crowning, we did the c- section. Chances of a big baby are very probable again so.... I can't say it was a pleasant experience, although you hear different from everyone, I thought it was extremely painful, had a long recoup time, and creates a higher chance of post partum depression, but babies safety and health are first priority.if you have any questions I have BScN and am currently working as a nurse.Best wishes and good luck to you and everyone.
