Yes I am too 6 weeks pregnant and I have already started packing on extra fat around my hips and on the tummy. I feel like I am more like 12 weeks.

with my last pregnancy I figured out how far long I was from when I had s_x which would have been 4 weeks. The doctor told me I was 6 weeks and I told him it must have been immaculate conception because I did not have s_x 6 weeks ago and thats when he explained to me that they add two weeks to the beginning because women usually never know when they conceive and women are only physically pregnant 38 weeks. Those extra two weeks are what make 40 weeks.

Oh, I forgot to add, the doctor had done a v____al ultrasound that's how he come up with that.

if u had s_x say on the 1st of january then u wouldnt be pregnant till around the 15th cos it can take up to 14 days for the sperm to fertilise the egg, ovulation usually occars on the 14th day from the first day of your menstral cycle this is why they add two wees. u wll not be pregnant on the day u have s_xit is just impossable for the sperm to reach the egg in that time about 72 hrs after s_x is the quickest time. so if u go the drs thinking your 6 weeks your actually 4. ps i got this info from my aunts friend who has been a midwife for nearly 20 years.

its really confusing when docs say you are 6 weeks but only acturally 4 weeks pregnant but when you go for ultrasound they give you a deff age of how many weeks you are

gemma - August 8

when u get a scan the age of the fetus is determained by the size of the fetus and placenta, it is still not exact my dr told me my due date would be the 5th the hostpital told me the 7th i gave birth on the 19th of november.

i am 8 weeks pregnant (my first pregnancy) and my waistline was bigger than normal at 4 weeks already. as far as charts i have and what my doc has told me at 8 weeks you are 2 months pregnant. dont worry about your big waistline just enjoy your pregnancy.

mel - August 8

has anyone read WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU'RE EXPECTING? it tells the first month is 1 to 4 weeks, second month is 5 to 8 weeks...etc. etc..

Hi, I am 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and i am showing also. I thought this was a weird experience for me, because i have 3 other children, and i have never showed this early. So u are not the only one.

What a relief I am not the only one! I am a little over 6 weeks with baby #2 and people don't believe me when I say my tummy is bigger already! It seems abnormally large to me and my hormone levels quadrupled in 2 days so maybe twins?! AHHH! Anyways, looks like we are all in this together, good luck! :)

I haven't gained any weight, I am 6 weeks. I read in my book if you have gained more than 3 pounds in the first 2 months, it's too much.

Last night I had these sharp pains in my back and in my stomach ..does anyone know what it could be....

gemma - August 15

the sharp pains in your tummy and back could be growing pains, but if you are concerened visit your gp or midwife.
