So, my HCG levels are doubling in wonderful way :-) per the doc. I'm about five weeks. Quick question though--my progesterone was 27 when I tested on 7/22 and are 18 today on 7/31. He said he wasn't worried and didn't feel inclined to do suppositories at this juncture. (He put me on them with my daughter at 5 weeks, but prog. was at 11 and too borderline in his mindset.) They kept reassuring me that everything looked really good and that I was within range (well above with the doubling of HCG actually). I go in for my first u/s a week from today, when he'll restest the prog. to be on the safe side. Any thoughts?

i think if your progesterone levels go down at all, you need to be on supplements for them. just be watching for spotting of any kind and let your doctor know asap if you see any.

Actually, ladies, I wanted to post to let you know that I tested again a week later, and they went back up to 24 on their own! Just FYI, as I know I freaked out. I have been on supplements, and they are of great value at times. But, if your levels drop, just as long as your doc is monitoring them, it could be a fluctuation. The best thing is to ask your doctor what # they don't want you to drop beneath (as those numbers vary from 10 to 15 to 20), and make sure they retest you if you do drop. But do not freak out if you're still within normal range, as mine were 28, 18, and then 24, and we heard a healthy hb and saw our peanut last week :-)

PS--I meant to clarify--I did not go on supplements this time but have used them in the past. Just to clarify, as they're not always necessary as long as someone is carefully monitoring your levels.
