Cookie: I hope you have a safe flight tomorrow. You'll be in my thoughts. •••• Kristine: So glad Nora's results came back A-OK! ••• I got a call tonight that my uncle who has cancer probably won't be with us any longer than through Saturday. I am so upset. My Aunt will be cremating (sp) him so that means she will be having the funeral/ceremony around June 8th which means my family will be able to attend. My Dad is originally from northern NJ -- 12 miles outside of NY City. So we are trying to make plane arrangements from CA and NV to fly into JFK on June 6th. I hope Josh can get the time off. Anyhow, I am a little stressed out about the whole situation! Hope all is well on your side of things. Until next time... ~ Michele

I got a call this morning at 5:45am that my uncle pa__sed. Looks like the funeral will be next Saturday the 2nd of June -- way earlier than we were originally told. Anyhow, we are off to NY on Thursday and will be back on June 6th. I decided to buy Alex a seat since the trip is around 6-7 hours and I think she'd be way too fussy to sit in my lap the entire time... at least I will be able to put her in her Infant car seat and let her sleep if need be. Hope all is well with you and Nora.

I am so sorry for your loss Michele. Your poor aunt. Do you have a big family?--------------------Please have a safe trip. I think it's a good idea about buying her a ticket especially with her age. As for Nora, she is doing really really well. It's like at weeks 6-7, she never had a crying fit at night again. They just stopped one day. This week (week 8) she has gone in her ba__sinet every night at 8pm and fallen asleep. So much for me thinking she had colic! I think I'm an over anxious mom......

Hi ladies, Nora had her first shots today. Rough afternoon and evening. She slept for many hours but her awake times were filled with tears. I gave her tylenol and put her to bed early. Hope she's better tomorrow. She's 11lbs, 5 oz. and 23 inches long. We go back in two months. -----------Hope you had a good flight Cookie. Michele, How's your family holding up?

Hi Girls, Michele, so sorry for your loss...we also bough Mackenzie her own seat on the plane...my father in law is in the airline industry and told us about the accident investigations he was on and how 90% of all airline crashes are survivable...but most children in those who are on laps don't survive those... we had a super trip...Mackenzie was an angel...she slept all the way to Europe...she wouldn't even wake up on the take off and landings...then she never cried on our two day car journey from Scotland all the way through England to the Southern tip...my grandmother had such a great time with her...also my godson was born yesterday...7 pounds 7 oz...and 10 days early...he would have been huge if he had gone full term...Kristine, sound like Nora is growing so fast...she is the same size that Mackenzie was at 3 months...lol...I hope she recovered ok from her shots...okie, back to work...ttfn

Hey Cookie, Welcome home!!!!!!!!!! Is your godson your sil's baby?------------------Nora slept through the night for the first time last night. She's also been going to sleep on her own every night for the past few weeks. She goes down around 7:00ish. I lay her down, she inserts the thumb and off she goes. It's adorable.

Hi ya girls... just poping really quick while DH is in the shower. I think I have to take him to the ER as soon as he gets out... we think he has salmonella posioning. He has been sick for 2 days now. Poor guy! •••••KRISTINE: That is so cool that Nora is sleeping through the night. There is no way I can get Alex down by 7. That is awesome! ••••• COOKIE: Congrats on the new babies in your family! WOO HOO!

Cookie - June 11

hi girls, Michelle how is Dh? I hope all is well, please keep us updated...Kristine, my godson is my best friend's baby...she and her husband are the god parents to Mackenzie...so we joke that they are god siblings...lol...my niece was born on Friday...she's a tiny little thing like Mackenzie, 6 pounds 13 oz..18 inches...it was so strange to hold her...she seems so little and so light....we had Kenzie with us and she looked like a beast ....on a concerning note...yesterday twice Mackenzie did this weird little head nod and her eyes sort of rolled back...dh thinks one of her teeth coming in may be hitting a weird nerve...but I don't know...she hasn't done it again...and she seems fine...but cranky...we have a dr's appt in two weeks but i'm thinking I may bring her in just in case....do you think i'm crazy?

NVgirl - June 11

Hi girls... Whelp DH was at the ER for 3 hours with 2 IVs and we won't know for a few days if it was salmonella poisoning since they have to do a culture. They said if we hear from them then they found something, if we don't then it was just a flu virus. But when we got home -- I started throwing up and threw up all night until 5am when I decided to take one of my anti-vomiting meds they had me take when I was pregnant. LOL, this morning I actually took a HPT test because this is how I was throwing up when I was pregnant... but of course it was a BFN. So I am really thinking we had some kind of food exposure on Friday... because even DH's mom was sick too yesterday. My concern is will Alex get sick if I am still b___stfeeding her. She has been cranky all day and since DH & I have been feeling c___py and have fevers it is just plain awful in my house right now. ••••• COOKIE: I would have Mackenzie checked to be on the safe side. It could be nothing, but at least it would give you peace of mind! ••••• KRISTINE: I loved the picture of Nora in the Bumbo. It was just too cute. Whelp, Alex is crying I must jet for now. Hope all is well on your side of things.

Oh my Michele. What a weekend. I wish you and your family a speedy recovery!!!! I'm exhausted. Nora was up almost every hour after 2am. I believe it was something I ate because she had lots of gas and was fussy. Even her thumb could not console her. Did I tell you she's being baptized Sunday?*************Cookie, Congrats to your sil!!! She must be overjoyed. What's her name? ---I agree and would take Kenzie in to be on the safe side. Please let us know how you make out and Michele, get some rest!

Cookie - June 12

oh Michele, I am so sorry for your family....I hope you are all feeling well soon...I can't believe your still BF that is awesome...I am going to hold off just a little to see how Mackenzie is...she hasn't done it since...and MIL thinks that it was nothing...if she does it again then I'm calling right away...love little nora in her bumbo...Mackenzie tipped hers over the other day...so we are careful now with her in it (she is getting too big too..lol)...big hugs...ejola

Hi girls, so Michele and I are on a site called cafemoms....seems to be more fun then here b/c we can add pics etc....think we want to jump this group over there too?

NVgirl - June 14

Good morning girls. Cookie I love the idea of jumping this tread over to Cafemom.com just because it is unlimited in what you can add... just like pictures and font styles, etc. But it needs to be a decision made and agreed by all 3 of us, though. ••••• Anyhow, Thanks for the well wishes. The family is feeling better. Except Alex hasn't pooped in a day & a half. I hate when she is constipated and it has only started when we introduced food in the last month. So yesterday I just BF Alex and we'll see what happens today. ••••• COOKIE: Glad Mack is doing better and hasn't done the head thing again. Alex did that once, but it was because DH spun her in a circle one 2 many times and she was soooo dizzy. I felt so bad for her and yelled at DH. ••••• KRISTINE: Nora is getting Baptized on Sunday... can't wait to see the pictures! I want to Baptize Alex but DH doesn't want to. So we have been in this debate for longer than Alex has been here. I don't know if I told you this or not but DH is a non-practicing Jehovah Witness. And I am a non-practicing Catholic. So our religious backgrounds clash big time. I tried even suggesting a non-denominational church -- but DH said he wouldn't attend. So my baby is not baptized. Oh well --- I will try again later on. But after trying for 10 months of convincing, I am getting tired of bringing up the subject. Any who.... My house needs a deep cleaning since I have been gone and sick. All I seem to be doing lately is cleaning, dishes and laundry. AGH! PLUS -- I don't know what I did, but my left shoulder area between my shoulder and neck has been aching for the last few days... I need to get a ma__sage or something. I tried stretching it, but it just hurts too much. Well see if it goes away soon. Hope all is well on your side of things. Until next time.

Cookie - June 15

wow Michele, you must have some interesting conversations at your house...my dh isn't religious at all...hates going to church...but I grew up going...and wanted my daughter to be baptized so he didn't really put up a fight...i'm not particularly religious, but it was nice having her baptized in the church that I grew up in, and where we were married...glad to hear you are feeling better...there is nothing worse than feeling like c___p and knowing you have a lo to take case of....happy friday :-))

NVgirl - June 15

Happy Friday Girls! ••• The neck still hurts... will probably be making an appointment to go to the Chiropractor I think. Alex finally went poop today after a 2.5 day hiatus! Poor baby. Oh as for where I got married... I never wanted a church wedding. I had always had this vision of getting married on the beach next to the ocean. LOL, that never happened... but I did get married on 4th of July next to the beach on Lake Tahoe at 6:30pm in the evening. And at 9pm there was a fireworks show. Sooo even though I didn't have the ocean --- it was beautiful, nonetheless! LOL, because DH wasn't Catholic anyhow -- I wouldn't of been able to get married in the Catholic Church... so it all worked out!

Kristine - June 15

Oh boy HUGE decision to leave this site. Makes me nervous. Can you lead me to where you guys are and I can check it out? Of course I'll follow you guys but I want to print this out for memories. ********DH and I are both Catholic but not practicing (i.e, church going) but we felt it important to baptize her. It's only immediate family and we'll be celebrating at a restaurant afterwards.**** Did I tell you DH filmed Nora in the recovery room and got me holding her for the first time? I just saw the footage today! He thought I knew he had filmed it. I was ecstatic.
