when does a babys heart start beating at how many weeks

Well you can see it as early as 6 weeks on an ultrasound, so around 6 weeks.

I read that it actually starts beating in week 5, but you can't see it on an ultrasound until week 6.

we saw the h/b at just after 6 weeks and we heard the placenta beat about week 8. Then we heard the babies h/b at about week 12. Many people think there are two in there because you pick up two beats. But the placenta beat is more woosh woosh woosh and the baby you can hear a strong beat. hope this helps
