Ok so heres the thing i am 8 weeks pregnant for my second child and have already gained 8 pounds , i know you get bigger quicker for your second but this just seems different for sure, so for fun my husband and I did the needle and thread trick it showed my son and stopped completely and i did it again and it showed a circle and without stopping went straight to lines and then stopped so we redid it and it stopped completely, so we did my husband and it showed his daughter and stopped and then our son and stopped and then circles and lines without stopping, im just wondering if any one else has this , i heard it meant twins, anyways just looking for some opinions, Thanks !!!

The threat needle test is absolutely not accurate in anyway. Its a wives tale that has been proven wrong time and time again. You would have just as much luck telling if you were pregnant with twins by flipping a coin

I didn't have any luck with it. It just sat there dangling when I tried. Best thing to do is just try and wait it out until you can get an ultrasound or doppler.

This is my first pregnancy, I did the needle and thread test too! Im almost 8 weeks it said it was going to be a girl. I gained a few lbs also. Im a very pet_te women so that could be why. The babys heart rate was 162, they say if its over 140 its a girl.

from what heard it means twins, i kno it is an old wise tale but who knos... maby thats why you are gaining more weight quicker
