well ive now been told that my blood test came back as unlikely to be pregnant, but the midwife at my doctors sugery has arranged for me to see her as she is cla__sing it as a pregnancy. She says once she has seen me she will arrange for me to have a scan at the hospital to see what the hell is going on. So now i have to wait until the 15th of this month to find out anything further.

just a little update! i decided to do another hpt last night and it came up negative but i did another one this morning and it was positive, i am so confused what the hell is going on. am i pregnant or not?. I realise from having 2 children already that during pregnancy your b___sts become tender but is the actual nipple meant to be hypersensitive

Nickih, what do you think about the possition i am in? one day i can do a hpm and its possitive and the next day it is negative and thats been going on for almost 2 weeks now, my blood test at the doctors came back as pregnancy unlikely!!!!!! please can you help me to understand what going on inside my body.

hi wantstopullhairout, i am in the same possition as you where one day the test is negative and the next is positive it very confusing isnt it, my doctors unrine and blood test were also negative and the strange thing is that i should have started my period on the 17th may aswell.

Hi, I have a really weird situation right now I've had 4 positive hpt so I went to the doctor and they did an urine hcg test and it came back negative then the morning after the negative lab I took another hpt and it was positive again... Is it possible I am pregnant or what??? My hcg appointment is in the afternoon is it possible I drank too much before my appointment? If anyone has any input would appreciate feedback!!!

Shellz, it is most DEFINITELY possible. The urine tests that they have at the doctor are usually a lot less sensitive than hpts. I would go get a blood test done, make sure they do a QUANTITATIVE test and NOT a qualitative one...then you should know for sure...hopefully anyway.

Hi Lou83, wow I can understand how confusing this must be for you. You said you had some bleeding, how long did it last? The fact that you are getting positive HPT's to me says there is a strong possibility you are pregnant, I have never been pregnant myself, and I have taken hundreds of HPTs for every month I thought I was over the last 2 years, and I have never even had so much as a faint line, so I'm a firm believer that a false positive is a very rare thing. I'm surprised they aren't treating you with more urgency, if they suspect you are pregnant, and are possibly about to miscarry, then I think they should be doing an ultrasound ASAP, however, I live in Australia, and doctors here are very good, and don't normally take chances like this, but I am aware that our health system is very different to the USA, and I gather that takes alot of convincing on your part to get them to take you seriously? How late are you BTW for your AF?

Ok..here goes....I am looking for someone with a similar situation as mine so I know I am not crazy. My last period was May 29th and on Friday June 23 I started what I thought was my period but as of now it's still just brown and light pink spotting..not even enough to wear a panty liner. I am 25 and never in my life spotted....always very heavy period. I thought I could be pregnant so I went and had a blood test yesterday b/c all the hpts were a BFN. And much to my surprise it was a negative. But what I am thinking is that the 17th when I was cramping could have been late ovulation and if so then I wouldn't be due for AF till the first. I was soooooooo tired the week following the 17th and a 99.1 temp. Its Tues the 27th now and I am still spottin....just brownish red when i go to the bathroom....COULD I BE PREGNANT????? somebody plz!!!! my fiance thinks i am nuts! I have had 3 dreams over the past 4 nights of a positive hpt. What do ya'll think?

Hello everyone, I am just needing some insight. My last period was on May 11th and it is now July 2nd. I have taken 3 hpt and all negative. Went to the doctor on Monday 26th of June and they did a urine test and pelvic exam, both negative. The doctor advised me this is normal for women to not ovulate and miss a cycle or two. I am always on time, no more than a day or two late. My ob/gyn advised me to wait to miss a total of 3 periods before calling them again, does anyone agree with this or do you think I should request to have a blood test?

I hope someone can help me becuase everyone else just says I don't know. I was 10 days late in april for my period. Finally got it but it was light. may went 2 days light and stopped. June went 5 days light. I have all the signs like..nausea,sore/swollen b___bs, headache eating alot, weight gain just feeling pregnant...everything. I have taken i don'tknow how many epts they all show negative and I got a blood test done today..which only took 10 minutes to tell me and it was negative. I still have all these symptoms. its one of those things where no matter what the test say or that im getting my period i still think im pregnant. what should i do??!?!?!

Hey ladies I know were on the topic about blood tests. I just had a baby 3 months ago and started normal periods back. Well me and my fiancee had unprotected s_x the 7th of july then the whole week I was supposed to start my period I was supposed to get it the 13th of july and never got it its been a week today and still nothing. & I dont just miss periods for notthing. I got a beta quanitive blood test that tells u how much HCG in ur body it was 2 witch the nurse said if its less than 10 its negative.. I thought if you arnt pregnant u arnt supposed to have any HCG? Ive Also got tons of home pregnancy test and there all negitive.the doc said to just start my bC pills but i still dont think I should do that I just dont feel like somethings right no semptoms never had em with first.. What should I Do.. thank u

Some woman naturally have a low level of hcg. In our town, anything under 5 is considered negative. There are a lot of woman who have low levels of hcg all the time, so I would believe your doc., that it is negative and you are not pregnant.

mdm2004 - this sounds stupid but I've been through this type of deal where your body feels one way and the test says another. I would try just a regular store brand. I've had better luck with the Target brand pregnancy test than the epts. And angeleyes2006 if you don't feel comfortable starting your pills than use condoms for now. I miscarried last year. I had to go for weekly blood draws to make sure that my hcg level went down. Even when my hcg level was at 5 they had me come in a week later to make sure it was at zero. I would just wait it out a little longer....
