My name is Lisa (32 yrs old) and my husband is Joe (34 yrs old).
We will be married for 4 years this Sept. and have been together 6 years. We are very much in love and are each other’s best friend. We have struggled lately with being unable to conceive, but these struggles have only brought us closer together and made our bond even stronger.
I have always feared I would have troubles conceiving and those fear have come true, and now am faced with unexplained infertility. After many treatments and drugs that left me ill and drained us both of emotion decided to discontinue our treatments. After much prayer we have decided to move forward with adoption.
We do not have any children currently. We own a home in a very lovely and safe neighborhood in MN (one of the best school districts in MN). We have two older dogs who we love to take to the park. My husband and I both have college degrees and have successful careers, he being the real breadwinner though. Because of my husband’s success I am hoping to be a part time stay at home mom someday soon.
We are both Christians, and have recently found a church in our neighborhood we plan to become members of in late April. We do not smoke, or use illegal drugs. We both come from very stable and loving families. My husband comes from a smaller town where his family owns and operates an apple orchard, which we joyously work at in the fall on Saturdays. I grew up in the metro area of MN spending my summers at my family’s lake home in northern MN. Joe and I frequently bring out boat we purchased there to spend time with family and friends.
There is nothing I would like more than to bring a child into our home. We have nieces and a nephew we love with all our heart. My husband and I both love children and know we will make wonderful loving and dedicated parent one day. I wish so badly that I could conceive, but I know there is a child for us somewhere, and as my mother reminds me, as a young child I declared I would one day adopt all my children. We are just beginning to start the process of choosing an agency, but have also been told it is good to do my own outreach, while we wait for our home study etc. If anyone is interested in learning more or talking to us please feel free to send me a msg!
