I was wondering if anyone might have any advice other than the usual things for a baby that won't wake up well to feed. My son is so sleepy and I have to wake him up (or try to) for the majority of his feedings, even at night. I've tried stripping him down to a diaper, washing his face, talking to him, etc. and nothing seems to help. I'm a little concerned now because he hasn't had a stool in a day or two, and he was going a lot before that. Any advice? Thanks.

Ive got the same exact situation, my son is the same age, and Ive tried the same things youve tried to awaken him.... I was told as he gets a little older he will awaken more, if that helps any...

he's actually doing a little better today, but yes, I think you are right, we just need to get through it and he'll improve. Hope it gets better for you too.

I'm just wondering, does your baby have jaundice? cos mine had for the first month and he wasn't too keen on eating just very sleepy. After he got thru the jaundice, he wa a LOT more active and with a much bigger appet_te!

2 1/2weeks ? maybe it's just the growth spurt coming on. It should be around 3 weeks. 6 weeks 3 mos and 6 mos. some babies sleep more during their growth spurts
