I am not interested in br___tfeeding. I have read and heard all of the information out there, but it is not something I am comfortable with doing. It just isn't for me. Has anyone else bottle feed from the start? How was your experience.

Nursing is the best, however, if you are not comfortable with it, your baby will sense this and it will be a horrible experience for you both. My sister and I had very different views. I nursed she bottle fed. All three of her children are very healthy as is mine. My daughter is cognatively further along than hers. Is that due to nursing or the fact I am a Highschool math teacher and am pushing her too much? Who knows.

Hey! I was the same way you were, but once I was in the hospital they asked if I was going ot and I said I would give it a try. It was not as weird as I thought it was going to be. I only b___stfed for about 3 weeks and then she wouldnt take it anymore so we switched to formula. Enfamil Lipil with iron is the closest thing to b___stmilk. I highly recommend it. I know exactly what you are going through. Even though you will be bottlefeeding let the nurses know that you still want to be the first one to feed or else they will. Amaya had no problem with formula at all. Oh yeah, you could also just pump and feed your baby b___stmilk. That way your baby will get the colostrum and all those great things! Good luck.

My sister-in-law was unable to b___stfeed, cause her milk never came in; try it the first few days, please - even if it's expressing into a bottle, cause that's the colostrom, that's most important for your baby. But, anyway - both of my SIL's girls are perfectly healthy; the older of the 2 just turned 6 and is amazingly precocious.
