Irregular Periods While Breastfeeding

I am br___tfeeding my 6 mo old and got my 1st period since he's been born last month on the 12th. I have not gotten one yet this month (it's the 16th)-is this type of irregular period common?

I didn't get my period back for 1 1/2 years with my first and then when I did it was very irregular. Every three to four months for a while gradually the time between got shorter and regular 28 days(I was never that regular before baby). I don't know if it's normal but I wasn't complaining!

Alicia it is totally normal years ago women would b___stfeed until 2-3yrs old and that was their protection from getting pregnant. These days we have so much more vitamins and good stuff for our bodies that it doesn’t work anymore. I didn't get my period while b/f until baby was 6 months old then I had it every 2 months until I stopped b/f.

Thankx ladies, it's just so weird, because it wasn't like this with my daughter, just my son, but I suppose you're right, I shouldn't complain, really
