for those of you that have taken fenugreek, did any of your babies have a bad reaction to it? And how much did you take?

And, also, did any of you notice that you smell "sweet" ... almost like maple syrup ... while taking it?

I took 3 a day for 6 days. I didn't get the sweet smell. I had a slight increase in my milk supply but not much. My baby didn't have any reaction to it.

My baby showed no reaction to the Fenugreek. I would take between 4-8 a day depending on how often I remembered to take it. My pee and sweat smelled just like maple syrup while I was taking it.

i broke out in a rash from it and the milk i expressed that i froze - she still refuses. she turns away in disgust. not all babies will like it i guess. i think it may be due to my reaction from taking it that caused my milk to taste bad to her too. if you have milk stored in the freezer, then try the fenugreek. in the event your milk tastes bad to her or the stuff makes you sick, you can use the stores.
