i am in the same position as most of you here. i have a 22 month old, and a 4 months old. i was b/f my oldest til she was 1. i started to feel sick and preg like when she was 7 months old, was taking test after test after test, and they were all neg. until 3 months later when my dr took a test an it was pos. so i was really freaked out. i was getting slight cramps while nursing, milk was coming in heavier, when i would nurse her, i had to have a pad on the other side becasue the leaking was heavy! an now i am in the same position again, took 1 test - neg. but the only difference this time, is my milk supply is very low, my 4 month old isnt getting enough. so i will wait another month an see... i know i wasnt much help, but sometimes you feel preg before you are when you are nursing. because from the time i started feeling sick til the time they said i conceived was about a month an a half. so unless they totally messed up my dates, it is just very confusing...

noooo jenn, pls don't say that. i feel very pregnant and all my tests are negative. really - totally negative tests??

i know you didnt want to hear that. but maybe it was your body trying to start you period again?? i think that was what happened to me, to find out later i had conceived. but that was me, everyone is different. think positive :)

I am going to hop on this boat as well. I am exclusively nursing my 3 month old daughter and have not gotten a PP period yet. Suddenly this week she is very fussy with the milk and my supply is down, my b___sts are so sore and tender, I am so fatigued and I just feel pregnant. I know all these things can be from either Postpartum/nursing, PMS or pregnancy and there is no way to know unless I test. The change is quite dramatic though and I have been pregannt twice before, a twin pregnancy and this past singleton. This type of tiredness rings very true to me. My question is this - when the heck do you test?? I can pinpoint the day of conception because there is not alot going on in this house with 3 kids under 3!! haha Anyone know when you woud show up positive if you have no earthly idea of your ovulation day??

there is no best answer for you there. I try from the time i "think" im preggo to be my first test. if it comes back neg, i test once every 1-2 weeks for about a month-2 months. if after that they are still neg, then all good!!! :) but that is the best unless you go to a dr an ask for blood test or ultrasound to make sure 100% yes or no. but if you stress too much over this, it might make you "feel" pregnant even when you arent...

My son is 11 months now and I am trying to wing him off of nursing. He nurses maybe once a day and once a night now. I had a very small resemblence of a period already by now I am three weeks late..almost a month late with this period. I know I still have a lot of hormones zIpping around in me but I feel preggo. I have had a high increase in gas, moodiness, bloating, and things like that. I have been told that it might not be too uncommon to be that late b/c I am still b/f a little. What do u think?

I realize this is an old blog, but if anyone is out there wondering... yes you canget pregnant while exclusively nursing. I was b___stfeeding my 4 mo old when I became pregnant... unfortunately it ended in miscarriage but YES it is possible. Awaiting Aunt Flo so we can try again!

i have been wondering the same thing... possibly could have conceived 7 weeks postpartum, been SOOOO tired, even when getting 8 hours of sleep at night (with one feeding) to the point I'm slapping myself in the car to stay awake--always happened with my pregnancies and I've had bouts of nausea, but nothing continuous like when I was pregnant with both my kids. my son is now 11 weeks. i took a pregnancy test 2 weeks ago and it was INVALID. NOTHING showed up. i was so mad!!! keep putting off getting another one. but my b___sts are not sore.

Hello everyone. I have some questions and I would like to know if someone can answer or at least give me some advise. I haven't really had my period since after the first two months after the brith of my baby 5 months ago. DH and I had unprotected s_x on the 1st of this month (it has been the only time unprotected since baby was born). The day after this I felt some short sharp pain like I usually feel with my ov, but it didn't last very long. 5 days later (on the 7th I had pain again very similar to that of ov on my right side, very sharp that it even woke me up from my sleep. I thought it was weird since I thought what I had felt 5 days before was my ovulation. The pain was on and off and the last day beign only on my lower abdomen not on the right side any more. I haven't had any spotting like I did with my first pregnancy. I just don't remember if I had this kind of pain with my daughter, but reading some of the stories here it seems like it is very common. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide with!

hi im facing the same problem..my daughter is 16 months old im b___stfeeding her exclusively..i started to ve my periods when she ws a year old and now this month i ve missed my period..m really confused m i pregnant or not?coz we vent planned fr the second kid so using protection..wt shd i do?..m nt ving any signs as such bt felt neausea..n sore nipples..

I'm kinda panicing. I've been ebfing my daughter for going on 11 months, haven't had my period yet. I am on the pill, but I do miss a day here and there and I was on antibiotics for over a week, (thank you stupid cats for the sinus infection!) the last day or two I've been having bad cramps. I've never had period cramps before. ugh really dont want to get a test. any other symptoms I could look out for??

I have been b___stfeeding my daughter for 7 months now. A week ago I got my period ( with all the warning signs) then three days ago I started bleeding with no signs. I have been on birth control for about 6 months. My first period was normal but this isn't could I be pregnant?

I have a question? I am eBFing my 7 month old and I on July of this year (2011) I finially got my period. well at least I think thats what it was. I bleed for about 10 days which is pretty normal for me. Ive always had long and heavy periods. They are anywhere from 6 to 8 days sometimesa little longer. I just thought maybe this one lasted a little long since it was my first since having my baby. Anyway then my husband and I had unprotected s_x and now I havent had a period in 56 days. I keep "feeling" like im going to start but then nothing. I have had really bad headaches, cramping, lower back pain, Ive been emotional, and SUPER tired all the time plus a couple other things. Ive also had a increase of discharge (sorry if thats TMI). I have been sick to my stomache but I was never sick with my other two pregnancies so that doesnt seem odd. Anyway I took 5 HPT but all were negative. But theres a part of me that still feels like I could be pregnant. I made an appointment for October 17th (that was the soonest I could get in to see my midwife for my annual) so I guess I will find out for sure then but does anyone have a story like mine and then come to find out they were pregnant? I would be about 8 weeks now ( I think ). I know when you are eBFing that you periods can really get messed up but I just dont know. What do you think? Do you think its just because im BF and they arent normal yet or cause Im pregnant? lol. Anyway thanks in advance.
