(In Africa) My cousin had her 2nd c-section in February. During the bikini C-Section there was an accidental severing of one of her veins. Later she developed a Suprapubic Subcutaneous Cyst (Hematoma). I looked this up and it means "A fluid filled mass that is usually benign under the skin above the pubic bone." Its the size of a tennis ball. She saw a different doctor for the swelling and she was given some anti-biotics to prevent the occurence of infections. The doc said he will monitor it and measure it over a two week period. He was hoping that it would shrink by itself and if it does not, then she will need it to be corrected surgically. Does anyone know what should be done to this hematoma, more preferably to avoid going back into surgery "in Africa".
Thanks, Grace Simmons.
