How Soon After C Section Can You Get Preg

I had an emergency c at 24 weeks and lost both boys. I am still struggling with the loss, but one image stays in my mind. My husband holding his 1lb 7 oz babies, sobbing and saying over and over I deserve to be a father. I really want a family and am ready to try again (Not to forget the boys...because I talk to them everyday) I know the doctors reccomend 12-18 months between births, but I also know it doesn't happen on the first try! any insight?? Please help!!!
